Was walking around Park Mall and stumbled into this vegetarian restaurant with a cute name. Then I recalled that someone had ever recommended this place to me. As I was not very hungry, I just ordered their vegetable brown rice set to try. The dish consisted a few types of mushrooms and vegetables. Sesame seed was sprinkled over it the vegetables. It was very lightly sauced, the taste was very pleasant. The way it was prepared allows the vegetables' freshness and natural flavour to be brought up. Paired with the brown rice. I felt super healthy! continue reading

My friend was craving for the Decided to go healthy for a day and we made our way there. The place is located at Park Mall basement which I thought was pretty hidden. I wouldn't knew of this place if it wasn't for my friend's recommendation. It was packed and crowded during dinner time. My friend and I had to wait for a while before we have a seat. There were a lot of choices in the menu. I could hardly decide. I ordered the Braised Noodle while my friend ordered the Spicy Noodle. Both were not bad but I prefer the spicier. The noodle dish was filled with mushroom and vegetables, very healthy indeed. They have burgers, beancurd fries and vegetable dumpling which I would like to try from their menu as well. A good place for vegetarian dish with affordable prices. continue reading

This is my second time visit to this restaurant after I have my first buffet around a year ago. Was really craving for the different types of delicious vegetarian dishes served here and was really happy that their standard has maintained well. This time round I have tried their fresh fruits salad and was equally impressed as the cut fresh fruits are really juicy and sweet. They have mix in their light sweet sauce that goes really well with the fruits and the lettuces in it are also very crunchy as well. continue reading

I am normally keen with vegetarian foods. However the vegetarian dishes here really have impressed me and my family. The buffet spread on their menu are quite interesting and their cooking for meat dishes almost taste like real meat dish. Love their belly meat in steamed bun as the dark gravy used to marinate the 'meat' is so sweet and nice. The bun is also served hot and it is soft too. The stir-fry vegetables with 'minced meat' also taste delicious as well. All dishes are served hot upon order to ensure the freshness of it. continue reading

Lao Di Fang (Park Mall) serves buffet lunch on the weekdays. We went to the buffet lunch at about 1pm and there were no customers. It was our first visit there and we were quite excited to try the food. Ambience was alright, nice decor but the services of the waitresses need to be improved. Very stern facial expressions and unfriendly atttiudes which made us felt very unwelcome. The menu selection for the buffet lunch was very limited, categorized into appetizers, dim sum, soup, main and dessert. Food are cooked upon ordering. Some of the food was oily and salty, and we felt the food was cooked without much thought. We selected 10 dishes during the 1st order and all the food arrived one after the other, would have be thoughtful if they served us 2, 3 dishes at a time. Not an enjoyable dining experience overall. continue reading
