Signature Dishes
One of the nice pies i ever eat, they bake it themselves available in small size so that you can get to eat different favours, their fillings are very full with thin crust,i tried their original chicken, black pepper chicken and curry chicken flavour, all taste very nice, i not a pie person, but i love this cafe so much, they also got sell cakes. be it cakes or pies, it is very nice, good for a tea break or even celebration, for this price, you won't be able to find it elsewhere, good food with reasonable price. highly recommended.

Their pies are so fabulous, they always make me go out of my way just to pay them a short visit.If you're unsure how to get to their shop, just use your sense of smell around White Sands! You can smell the butter baking from a mile away!The choice of pies - big ones and small ones.Big pies for $4.20Small pies for $1.10 (3 for $3)If you were to observe the above photo carefully, there were only 6 big pies left when I visited.$4.20 eachAnd yes, I bought ALL of it.I have paid them many visits in the past few years but never ever have I been fortunate enough to lay my hands on any of those big pies. I'd proceed to ask the owner if they had any big pies left, but her answer never changes - they only bake a few big pies a day and once sold out (trust me, they really do run out fast!), they won't make more for sale, unless you give them a ring at least an hour in advance to place your orders. They'd then bake those big pies specially for you, but there's a minimum order of "a few pies".You may wonder why I have always been trying to lay my hands on those big pies - that's because they come in really special (beef) fillings that I have not been able to find anywhere else! And by the way, only the big pies come in these fillings, the small ones don't.There are markings on the big pies itself to differentiate the contents, de-coded as follow:- a single stroke: beef stew- a "x" cross: black pepper steak- no markings: steak & mushroomBeef Stew Pie, dissected (my favourite!)Black Pepper Steak Pie, dissectedI assure you the pies taste better than it already looks. The pastry looks like an intricate piece of art - it has many little fine layers in it but even after being puffed up, it's still ironically thin and crispy. Take a bite into it and be served with a piping hot crispy buttery treat with an abundance of ingredients. The fillings taste really authentic - if it promises you black pepper steak, you get real intense taste of black pepper on tasty and tender cubes of steak - no corner cutting.I also took away 6 small chicken pies, which the owner took initiative to pack nicely and separately, to ensure that the pies do not stack up and crush on each other.3 Chicken Pies in a pack(3 for $3)This is their signature pie - must try!Chicken Pie, dissectedAlbeit petite, there's a generous amount of delicious chicken ingredients filled to the brim - heavenly and worth the $1 spent.It's no wonder why they're enjoying good business and are well-known in the area, although this is their only shop. Remember to call them at 65851741 at least an hour beforehand if you want to buy the big pies!

I really love the strawberry cheese cakes from Cottage Pies Cafe. They are really sweet and unique. The top layer is jelly with strawberry, the middle layer is cheesecake and the bottom layer is the cake crumbs. The combination taste really great and the price is reasonable too at $1.80 for two slices.

The chicken pie at cottage pie is totally AWESOME!!Whenever I walk past the shop I will go “wow…such a nice smell”They are irresistible! I could taste the butter used in the chicken pie that brings out the wonderful rich taste and aroma!It is fully filled with chicken and I could taste the awesomeness!It makes me want to buy it every time the aroma reaches me.You will be craving for more pies and “want more”!There are other flavours such as black pepper which are equally awesome!

This is the first time I tried cottage pie. I have heard about it, about how nice it is, and I thought I should try it too.I fancy cheesecake, and i think this cheesecake is alright. I like it that it is not too damp and the cheesey taste is not so strong. I like the fluffyness of the cake as well, but I dont love it either. Perhaps it's the taste and perhaps it's because I did not eat it while it is cold. I ate it at room temperature.I dont like the strawberry jam on top though. I scrap it all away. But it's not too bad because it is not very sweet. It's just my personal preference that I dont not like jam.Overall is not too bad. But i highly recommend to eat it while it's chilled. The taste will be different.
