Made a reservation before going to the restaurant. The place was not crowded. Selected the booth seat table which overlook the ground floor. Quiet end of the restaurant so a tab difficult to get the attention of the staff. Please note that plain water was chargeable, at $0.30++ per glass.Enquired about 1-for-1 promotion by FEAST mobile application. The staff replied that its only available before 5pm which I replied it was not stated. The second staff replied that one redemption could used. But in the end, all 3 redemptions available at this restaurant on the application in my mobile phone were being processed as used by another staff. It was an confusing experience, but at least I received 1-for-1 my orders of 2 mains, pizza and pasta.Hawaiian Pizza ($14.90++)Say Aloha to this generous spread of honey baked ham, pineapple and shredded mozzarella cheese on a crispy crust served with pizza sauce.Lots of liao on the pizza. Crispy fluffy base.Grilled Chicken Fettuccine ($14.90++)This amazing fettuccine is served with a hefty portion of grilled chicken, sundried tomatoes and garlic cream sauce. It looked like noodle soup when served. The dish was tasty and the thick amount of sauce kept the noodles moist and hot.Empire State BBQ Pork Ribs ($17.90++)Fall in lover with this tender pork ribs rubbed with signature spice seasoning and flavoured with homemade BBQ sauce. Served with fries and mesclun salad. The serving was huge. The meat was tender and well flavoured, tear easily from the bones.Grilled Salmon with Thermidor Sauce ($17.90++)Salmon grilled the way you like with a themidor sauce and served with mashed potato and buttered vegetables. The fish was juicy and moist. The themidor sauce was a tab of sourness. The place was just next to a playground where the little ones could have their fun while the adults eat. continue reading

For more reviews, visit www.umakemehungry.comBeing a West Person so much, it was by chance that I notice Empire State during one of the weekends in Causeway Point Mall. Though they have been in the industry for a while, it was the first time I have ever visit them. Knowing such, Causeway Point is the outlet for Empire State Currently.Decorations and furnishings were loud with colors in its illustration which kind of reminds me of "New York New York", one of the past restaurants in Singapore.Menu covers American Cuisine from Burgers, Pasta to even Pizzas. We ordered one pasta and one from the Mains.Since it was a weekend, its not surprising to see Singaporean spending quality time dining outside with families. Place was pretty pack and with perpetual queues during dinner timing.A hefty portion of grilled chicken, sun dried tomatoes in Garlic Cream sauce was addictive. Moreover, Fettuccine was presented in not just the usual yellow but also green pasta. The savoury cream-riched pasta was good and stomach filling.Served with fries and Mesclun salad, though chicken was herb roasted, the taste did not quite reveal the processes. Nevertheless, the outer skin of this Maple Glazed Chicken was perfectly done with the roast flavours, giving a light crisp. The half chicken was succulent but if tastes were a bit stronger, it would be wonderful. Luckily, the brown sauce was placed into good use and complimented the white meat perfectly.Hits & misses. Overall, food is generally average. For those who want to skip the sweet beverages and opting for plain water instead, do note that it is chargable at $0.30 per cup. continue reading

It was Mother's Day and I decided to treat my mum to a meal at this restaurant after having a good rest for the whole day. This is my first time at Empire State, very good experience after having 3 Course Meal at S$29.99/set because that does not include Service Charge and 7% G.S.T.The food is great, but not for hygiene because the floor is very dirty and slippery and their front entrance. In addition, the waiter just used a cloth to wipe the tea spoons in front of diners after serving desserts without any tea spoon being served.Although their price is of the usual market price, their service is bad because the waiter have to collect payments at 9.28 p.m. before desserts being served. Therefore, not worth it to have dinner in this restaurant and I felt sorry for not able to have a good gift to my mother. continue reading

Came back here again twice in a month! This visit was not long after my wisdom tooth extraction and I couldn't take in anything very solid. Their wide variety of delicious looking dishes on the menu do leave customers spoilt for choice. Ordered their Seafood Chowder ($6.90), which was disappointing for its price because I didn't get any seafood bits at all. However, it was rich in consistency and had the right seafood flavour without being fishy. My buddy got his Chicken Fettuccine ($14.90) which was amazing! The chicken were mixed in generously with rich cream sauce seasoned nicely. A true delighting dish, wished that the soup would have the same impact as this. Overall, I guess I would still return to try out other items from their extensive menu. continue reading

I was at Causeway Point shopping and a movie date , so before those , we feast! The place was crowded and noisy. I guess business is good and cos of that the service was slow due to the crowd but they're trying their best. we ordered giant meatball spaghetti , bacon hotdog chips. The giant meatball was huge! it's like a tennis ball coated with meat instead. the taste was flavourful and well cooked. Spaghetti texture was very "Q". Fries was a little cold but still okay. continue reading
