We need to thank Mr. Victor of M/s Huttons Asia Pte. Ltd. for organising a networking lunch sharing session for his team members. Our first hi-tea for the year 2016 (今天是新的一天)and the food was nice.Very easy to find this place because we can go directly into Velocity from Novena MRT. The Hi Tea is only available on weekends and public holidays.Ling Zhi Vegetarian has large space with modern decor, so it is classy restaurant with delicious and creative food with a peaceful & pleasant atmosphere. This could be considered a pretty reasonably valued meal because the price is not too excessive and the options that we have are very impressive! The buffet dishes were good. However, there are extra charges like drinks, GST and service charge. Conclusion: Good and top grade sit-down chinese vegetarian restaurant (Friendly Staffs from Tung Lok's group) with huge selection of vegetarian options because this is the best chinese restaurant that we've eaten with excellen food, healthy cuisine and ambience.Fans of traditional Chinese Desserts: Almond Jelly with Longan, Black Sesame Paste and Sweetened Almond Cream. For dessert I had the black sesame paste, which was wonderfully rich. continue reading

LingZhi Vegetarian Restaurant is the vegetarian arm under Tung Lok Group, serving gourmet non-meat fine dining cuisine. There are two outlets currently, one at Liat Towers and the other at Velocity at Novena Square - we chose the latter for lunch. I have been wanting to try a fine dining vegetarian meal for a long time, so I was glad to finally be able to get *Zachary to go with me.One could choose to either take the buffet lunch or order a la carte - we chose the latter as well. The first selected dish was the Golden Delight Soup (SGD$15.00) - basically shark's fin melon with lily bulbs, bird's nest and golden mushrooms in a clear broth. It was surprisingly tasty even without the presence of meat, having been infused with the stronger flavor of the mushrooms. The lily bulb added crunch to the soup, and the shark's fin melon looked exactly like shark's fin in its shredded form.Curiosity piqued us to try the Vegetarian Satay (SGD$16.00) - 4 thick skewers of chestnut, mushrooms, green pepper and what seemed like fried flour or dried beancurd (taupok), all drenched in the dense coating of satay peanut sauce. It was a little spicy, but very delicious. The usuage of the fried flour / taupok as well as chestnuts gave the skewers a good bite as well.Next, the Deep Fried Lotus Root Rolls (SGD$18.00) which had actually been named as "seafood rolls" or something on the a la carte menu, and that was the only reason I had ordered it (to try mock seafood). Turned out that it was all deep fried lotus rolls with a crispy exterior and sticky interior, stuffed with some vegetables. The taste was rather bland, and this dish was very filling. For full review and more detailed information, please feel free to visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2015/03/lunch-at-lingzhi-vegetarian-restaurant.html  continue reading

Long time never really have a non-meat meal and decided to have it for a change for my lunch. The green salad which looks really simple but the taste was quite good, with generous amount of dressing which is similar to thousand island sauce mixed in it. The braised vegetables have thick and sweet gravy that blend in well with the egg plants and mushroom cooked in it. Brown fried rice is not too soggy and lots of crunch mixed vegetables in it. The deep fried fillet is very crispy and not too oily. The service here is good and restaurant is cooling and comfortable. continue reading

I decided to behave like a tai-tai on my off-day and head for a hi-tea. Unfortunately, poor me can only afford cheaper food so I stumbled upon LingZhi Vegetarian Restaurant which had hi-tea. The spread was rather generous. I tried the carrot cake but it was too much dough with too little carrots. There was also dim sum available. I liked the herbal jelly alot as it was pretty good. The spring rolls are also sufficiently crunchy. But skip the flour-y chicken nuggets.. continue reading

For the full review with pictures, visit http://thewulfcam.blogspot.sg/2013/04/lingzhi-vegetarian.htmlWe went there for lunch. Ordered a set menu for four and some additional dim sum dishes.Their fried dishes were really delicious! Especially the crisp-fried pumpkin rolls! However, the dim sum dishes were a little disappointing, especially those with skin wrapping (e.g. Siew Mai and Dumplings). We had one braised noodle dish too - love the broth and texture!Overall, the dishes were quite tasty, with an interesting flavour (thanks to their special sauces) and had great standard considering the price. Service was excellent and the environment was clean and comfortable.Spent about S$30++ per person. continue reading
