I am happy that this traditional snack is found at this stall. It is getting difficult in locating it these days though it is still commonly available in those pasar malam (night market). This muah chee is made by steaming the glutinous rice flour mixture to achieve the nicely soft texture. It was then cut out a piece and tossed well with finely grounded peanuts then further cut into bite sizes and served. Such a box of muah chee is priced at $1.00 at this snack stall.

I discovered this stall by chance. It is located a stone's throw from Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. And this stall opens from noon so do not come too early. Prawn fritter is one of their signatures. They made it on the spot, fried it and served hot. They are selling it at 4 pieces for $3.00. It is less than a dollar for a piece. Good value for that delicious taste. The ingredients are simple : flour, bean sprouts and prawns.
