Was recovering from a bad cough plus it was raining so something hot and soupy really appeals to me. MOF was righ in front of me so i thought of the beef udon soup immediately! Definitely didn't disappoint. Broth has a nice sweet taste, texture of udon was just nice, sliced beef was fresh and i love seaweed in my noodles! A bowl of satisfaction and happiness indeed! continue reading

I meet up with my friend to have a delicious treat at MOF. This is our first time coming here so we went there and look through the menu. I ordered the Tonkutsu Ramen cost $11.80 before gst, I love the meat in there as it was really chewy to bite on. My friend order Chicken Wing Curry rice cost $12.80 which i felt that the amount of chicken wing was too less but my friend said that the curry mixture to the chicken was nice. Overall, it is still a good first experience here. The total cost is $28.95. continue reading

Came down to MOF just because I was craving for a really good warm cup of green tea latte. This place is also great for chilling! They have a great variety of matcha drinks and desserts. Their Hot Matcha Latte with Matcha Sauce ($4.50) is my all time favourite! Not too sweet served in thick consistency. Their Iced Caramel Latte ($5.50) was also great, although there was a need to add syrup to sweeten the bitterness, it's a good drink for chilling. Overall, I'm glad that this place exists near where I stay because the food and beverage here served never gets dull! continue reading

there's hardly a queue at this branch of MOF unlike the outlet in bugis junction. i guess between ichiban and this, it's more value for money to be dining at ichiban which also offers a wider variety of food choices. but here I am for dessert with my girlfriends. it's a post ichiban dinner dessert time! as if on cue, we both decided on the matcha imo. $8.80 ++vanilla soft serve ice cream drizzled with matcha syrup accompanied with a side of azuki and fried sweet potato that I can never get enough of. $8.80 ++and because another one of us wanted some sesame ice cream, we made an order for a sesame sundae with kanten jelly in brown sugar syrup and erm. cornflakes? that was a lil weird if you ask me. where are my strawberries? it was strange to see my jap dessert served with watermelon slices. Thankfully, their ice cream saved the day. black sesame had the distinct fragrance of sesame and their vanilla soft serve was drizzled with a thick sesame sauce that had the gritty taste of sesame seeds. They are now having promotions with standard chartered cards for ten per cent off ala carte orders if you aren't yet an MOF member. continue reading

Tried this Shiratama Kurizen ($6.80) for tea break the other day. I like it very much as I've always had a soft spot for red bean dessert. Paired with an ice cream, it was heavenly! The hot and cold combination is really good. You can taste the individual red bean pieces which is always fun to bite into and the soft serve ice cream is exactly as its name suggest - SOFT! It melted in my mouth as you can see, it has started to melt soon after they serve it! The mochi balls are made of flour and was really chewy! The bf did not like the mochi balls so I had them all to myself! YAY! continue reading
