yam cake $1the yam cake was super oily but it was good-tasting. the skin was slightly crispy at the edges, not so much at the center. there were a few chunks of meat-tasting ingredients in it (I am guessing its shrimp). Other than that, it was entirely made of yam. It could get a little dry especially at the thickest areas but luckily the whole yam cake was not the thick kinds so eating it was not a chore. continue reading

After class one afternoon, I met up with a friend. I decided to try the beef stew from Old Chang Kee after I saw some people eating it. After the first mouth, I was hooked! The gravy was delicious! It held the aroma of beef. The boiled carrots were juicy and melted down in your mouth. The beef was chewy though. But the gravy was simply awesome continue reading
