Walk pass and decided to take away some drinks, was initially about to buy almond soya milk, but saw this red bean soya milk, and change my mind (bad decision). Nut-liked red bean with soya milk. It is not red bean paste or even soft, it's like nuts in the drink. I was expecting like the Hong Kong red bean milk, red bean paste with milk. Anyone actually preferred hard chunk red bean in their drinks ?


Conclusion : If you are expecting soft mushy red bean or red bean paste, don't ever make the same mistake as me !

I like the soya beancurd from Selegie Soya Bean. It is smooth and doesn't have the "siap siap" (don't know how to put it in English) taste. Very easy to swallow and sometime one bowl is not enough for me. Other than their original beancurd, I will add in 3 balls of glutinous balls (tang yuan) to make it even more tasty. Selegie's menu offers a wide range of desserts, which include Bean Curd with Gingko Nuts/Red Bean/Grass Jelly etc. One item which captured our curiosity is the Soya Beancurd with Gula Melaka. I've never heard of that combination before so I was pretty eager to taste it! We ordered the warm version and I felt that the combi was just so-so, but two of my other friends love it. The texture is smooth though but I very much prefer the plain beancurd with tang yuan! Besides Soya Milk, they also sell other types of drinks like Grass Jelly drink, Soya Milk with Pearls/Bandung pearls/Red bean/Grass jelly etc.

Price wise, it cost $1.80 for Soya Beancurd with Gula Melaka and $1.20 for Soya Milk drink. Ambience wise, I feel that the people should really do some cleaning up of the place as a few flies were buzzing around.

I like the combination of soya bean curd with ball dumpling. It is like it has two types of different flavour that you can eat. I order the warm soya bean curd, which they scope upon ordering, and added the dumpling. You can tell them what flavour dumpling you want. It can be all the same, or mix of flavour. For the syrup, you can choose between the normal syrup or request for the another kind of syrup made with brown sugar.

My roommate recommended me to try the Selegie bean curd. She said the soya bean curd was nice. So, i went to try with my friend.I ordered the soya bean curd with peanut rice dumpling while my friend ordered the soya bean curd with "gula melaka".We are quite disappointing as the taste of bean curd is not what we thought. I prefer lao ban's soya bean curd more. The rice dumpling tasted normal.

While Selegie's soya beancurd is one of the better ones around, it isn't nearly as smooth and soft as Rochor Beancurd and GoGo Beanz. Unfortunately, the ah balling were a different story altogether. While the yam filling was pleasantly smooth, the glutinous rice skin was thick and stiff. Following the likes of Lao Ban, Selegie has also diversified into the soya pudding market. Their version was, however, rather tasteless. Stick to the old favorites, I say.

my girlfriend was craving for some soya bean so we drove to jalan kayu to order our favourite selegie soya bean. we love the soya bean here, it is simply so fresh. the bean curd is so soft and smooth, simply glides down your throat in one mouth. the syrup is a little sweet through, but when eaten with the bean curd, it is just right! totally worth it to travel down.

Whenever I heard about Selegie soya bean, it would be positive comments and people have been recommending it.It is my first time trying the soya bean curd, and I ordered the soya bean curd with grass jelly.The normal soya bean curd cost $1 while this one with the grass jelly cost $1.60.Even though it may cost quite a lot more as compared to the normal one, I felt it was worth it as the grass jelly was generously givenThe soya bean curd was smooth and easy to eat. Whenever I heard about Selegie soya bean, it would be positive comments and people have been recommending it.
It is my first time trying the soya bean curd, and I ordered the soya bean curd with grass jelly.
The normal soya bean curd cost $1 while this one with the grass jelly cost $1.60.
Even though it may cost quite a lot more as compared to the normal one, I felt it was worth it as the grass jelly was generously given

However I felt it was not as delicious as what others made it out to be, although the texture is good, the syrup was too sweet that it may make me sick of eating it after finishing half of it.

It may be suitable for those who go for smooth texture soya bean curd, but definitely not for those who does not like food which are too sweet.
Subjective, but worth the try though ;D
