Located along the busy street of North Bridge Road with countless hipster cafes is twenty grammes. It is very cheerfully decorated with fun props like this little ice cream stand. The dining area is very casual with simple colours that gives you a very cosy and homely feel. The water and utensils are at the back, near the magazine table. There's some magazines about fashion and photography to help you pass the time while waiting for your waffles. The bar counter top serves as an additional "shop sign".They have tons of flavours, don't be afraid to ask and try the flavours. It took us awhile to settle on 3C, honey butterscotch and chocolate. They have a wide variety of cakes to go with their coffee.1. Yuzu Lime cheesecake $7.90Instead of a typical sweet, oreo flavoured cheesecake, we took a yuzu lime cheesecake. Yuzu flavours are usually sour but this was enhanced with lime. The cheesecake was dense but not gerlat. Shared amongst 2, it tasted great. The bottom graham cracker crust was sweet and helped compliment the sour taste of the yuzu lime cheese layers.2. Ice cream with waffles (3C, Honey butterscotch, Chocolate)The waffles here are more for the fluffy waffle lover. The exterior is only slightly crispy, despite it's browning, it was very soft. No knife needed to cut up this waffle. The ice cream flavours went well together. 3C being my favourite. The honey butterscotch was extremely sweet and you could only nimble bits of the ice cream at a time. continue reading

Another ice cream parlor that has joined the stretch along North Bridge Road is none other than Twenty Grammes! A humble, neat and clean environment that's welcoming for an afternoon tea.A menu filled with varieties of coffee, tea and desserts available in store. Alternatively, there's some cakes on display too. They are rather yummy looking and appetizing!& their wide range of bold ice cream flavors! The ice cream have pretty unique texture, quite different from the usuals i would say. Unlike the creamy, rich, smooth ice-cream, most of them are mixed with mochi or some bits and chips within, so they are kind of chewy and chunky. But it may get a little too tiring from chewing and the taste may get a little too ge-lard.My choice of ice cream Triple C & Mango Tango. Triple C consist of caramel and chocolate with bits and pieces of chocolate crunch. Overall flavor is well-blended together and not too overwhelming. On the other hand, for Mango Tango, it is pretty fruity tasting but lean a little towards the sweeter side. Not too bad a choice for some ice cream treats when i'm passing by it the next time!http://poohlovesfood.wordpress.com/2015/02/08/twenty-grammes/ for the full review with pics. continue reading

Yet another ice-cream parlour just found its way here. Twenty Grammes is a new ice-cream parlour that was into its second day of operations when we made our way there. Apart from a variety of ice-cream flavours offered here, they also offer tea and coffee for beverages, as well as cakes (from Ply Baked Goods) and pies (from Windowsill Pies) here.Decided to skip on the cakes and pies because I had tried them before, so we went straight for a waffle with ice-cream ($9.50). I had a go with a few non-chocolate flavours such as the Affogato (Coffee flavoured ice-cream with Vanilla) as well as the Honey-Scotch, but we settled for the Macademia. Their ice-cream was creamy and smooth, even being slightly sticky as well, and the Macademia flavour was reasonably sweet with specks of Macademia nuts thrown in for a crunch. Waffles were a wee bit on the dense side, and they use the classic egg and butter batter here. Was not particularly crisp, but was slight fluffy and rather decent actually. For more photos and the full review, please visit: http://jiaksimipng.wordpress.com/2014/10/23/twenty-grammes-north-bridge-road/ continue reading
