I've seen this happy queue during dinner time and I'm glad I was in it! Some time back, I was happy queuing at New York New York (NYNY) where they gave out complimentary candy floss to customers who were queuing and waiting for their turn to be seated. The food at NYNY comes in a large portion and I do hope they continue with the hamburger competition throughout the month! My family and I ordered quite a few dishes; the giant yankee burger for 2, steamed salmon set, beef and potato-cheese, salads as well as some drinks to go with. Overall, it was quite a sinful meal but the portions of the food were reasonable for the amount one has to pay for.

Cafe' Cartel is where I would dine with western pork ribs made affordable. The last time I went, the Bishan outlet was still around. Now however, its been replaced by some other restaurant! So anyway, their BBQ pork ribs are chewy and the rest of the food items are very much average. My folks ordered a sandwich set and some spaghetti with chicken chop while my brothers, a seafood platter and I settled for the ribs. The free flow of bread that comes with soup is a nice deal thats still up to date I hope, heh!

instead of the usual cakes and tea, my friend and I decided to opt for something different!

we had a bowl of bo bo- char char dessert at the nearest Kopitiam to our convenience! I had the warm one while my friend tried the cold one. both were just as good! the warm coconut taste was sweet and the toppings were generous! there were sweet potatoes, together with the taros and bits of jelly!! was very full after that surprisingly. really economical dessert just that not everyone may like the sweetness of this dessert.

My friends and I had lunch at Swenson's! A nice place to have western meals at affordable prices! Especially with a group of friends, we chose the 1-for-1 offers they had! Ordered the burger set and my other friend had some meatball pasta! Taste was decent and it was definitely a satisfying meal for us. Their staffs were friendly and I heard they would sing a birthday song together with their crew when you celebrate your birthday at their restaurant and order a cake! The strawberry cake is not recommended as I've tried it before. The strawberry was hard and frosty! Nevertheless, their burgers and steaks are superb! Same for the ice-creams!

headed to Din Tai Fung for lunch on a typical weekday. the queue was quite long although it was a weekday. must be due to the lunch hour! their signature dim sum- xiao long baos were hot and juicy! had a pork cutlet rice to go with and washed the meal down with tea served. service was fine, and the lighting was cosy. I think it would be great if they had the xiao long bao buffet at their wisma outlet..probably too much to ask for, but the one in holland-v would be more worth for money! with steamboat and all..best of both worlds! come on lets have one in orchard pleaseeee!

Marche is love! I love almost everything there, the ambiance, the cows, the FOOD! A few weeks back, my girlfriend and I had our tea break there. Its a great place to relax and chill after all that tired shopping. We tried their coffee bean cheese cake which left us craving for more!! Came in a set with coffee/tea. I had hot-piping tea..thinking back, it would be great if they had a dessert buffet. Their bakery is just upstairs with so many pastries and cakes to choose from..another place for tea time takeaways people!

My family and I lunched at PuTien, the one at CitySquare Mall. As it was a weekend, the queue was super long! Thank god we made reservations before hand. The food was pretty decent but its rather expensive for frequent visits! Love the complimentary abalone set they served. We had many items to choose from the menu as well as items for self-service. The prawns, fish and soup were good. The only thing I felt they ought to improve on was the desserts..they should have more variety like a chocolate fountain?

Fish & Co. has always been famous for their fish & chips but seldom has their Salad Bar been tried on the menu! Some time ago, I actually tried their salad buffet and it was really refreshing! Ideal for vegetarians and also a healthier choice compared to most of their fried fish items! People! You can bring your old folks down to try..yay!

The salad buffet was really quite filling for me, but I was not satisfied leaving without trying their deserts! Ordered a raspberry cheesecake and ended up leaving it for takeaway because I couldn't finish.. >.< Overall, its a nice place to dine in with good service!

chilled out at giraffe restaurant and bar some time back during the evening. they have a lovely ambiance and its especially nice to be seated in the open. my partner and I had a slice of their cake each. their cake menu is similar to what you find at Fish & Co's. as for the portion of the cake..its really a huge size and we had drinks to go with. I had a tomato juice while my friend had a glass of orange juice. I suppose the restaurant was having a pretty good business that night as it took awhile for our orders to come. I would say their service was redeemed as they gave us a complimentary loaf of focaccia bread to make up for our waiting time.

totally love the BKa4dables promo at a reasonable $4.50! ideal for students like us, absolutely pocket friendly! the set includes a burger, a drink and a dessert! but right now I think the additional dessert promo is over. I had a BK singles mushroom swiss. the taro was soft and sweet in the inside and crispy on the outside! not much people around the raffles xchange outlet though. a good place to settle for a meal before continuing on your journey to the mrt station!

won a pair of dining vouchers from Fish & Co and decided to use it at the outlet closest to my area. I had black pepper stingray with chips while my friend had some sambal fish with bryani rice. overall it tasted average. we both agreed that fish & co should come up with more grilled items and a larger variety in their menu. majority of the items on the menu were deep fried. so far we have yet to see any special offers for Christmas! nevertheless, their service was friendly and acceptable.

My family decided to order home delivery since my mum got tired of cooking. Ordered the SUPREME BIG BITES Pizza from pizza hut and it was worth every penny! Chicken meatballs and shrimp croutons at the crust was a fabulous idea! Even till now, I still prefer this pizza to the new edition their having - Cheesy 7. Hope they'll come back with it again this Christmas!

Decided to grab a quick lunch with my friend one Saturday afternoon and we decided to have subs! Sub of the day was ham I recalled..wasn't a really filling meal though. $4.50 for a sub and we thought it would be better if they included a drink in it. Oh well! At least its a healthier alternative to fast food..?

Heaven's Loft has gotta be every girl's favourite place for desserts!

Went there some time ago with my mum for their Tuesday's specials- Ala Carte Buffet.
You get to choose from a variety of Starters (including Escargots etc.), Soups, Pastas, Mains (including Steak, Baby Back Ribs etc.) and a whole page of desserts (including Crepes and Chocolate Fondue at the ala-minute stations).

Tried almost all of their main courses and my favourite was the beef cheeks! For the desserts, I'd rate the crepes the best..only thing that the expression given by the cook was not so amiable. Overall, service was good despite some bad reviews on it. The price was heavenly expensive but I guess its okay to indulge once in a while!
