Yunnan Beef Hotpot
Smile 2011-03-25
Honguo ( Bugis )
It was sometime ago, when it opens, I try beef hotpot in this cafe, very spicy & the meat are tender. Serve with hotpot, rice, pickles & side-dish. It was big serving for myself alone, well I really can't miss their kopi-o.

Anyway, value for money. Then subsequently it become a routine that I must have hotpot every weekends, sometimes I bring my colleagues but they surprise me as they claim never dine in such environment.

The service-staff are friendly & so, are their service. Well this yunnan food really delicious.smile

Korean Cuisine

Korean Cuisine ( Jurong West )
I enjoyed Korean food especially Bibimpap, the one I had is at Westmall foodcourt. They cook in claypot & when they serve, the rice was very hot. Usually when I ate at other Korean outlet, they fry the egg but in the claypot, they serve raw, so.. when I mix all together, the egg get cooked instead.

The kimchi quite ok & so was the soup. This soup is quite simple & for those, who like to lose their weight, can actually make it at home. Its a mixture of shredded cabbage & carrot.

I'm going to share but mine is more to fusion:-

Ingredients:-

$1 cabbage (shredded)
1 pc carrot (shredded)
50cts dried shrimp (soak & blend)
1 whole onion (blend)
5 clove of garlic (blend)
1 tsp ground black pepper (depend on the taste of individual)
few pcs of seaweed
1 egg (whisk)
salt to taste
3 bowl of water & also depend on individual

Methods:-

Pour water in a pot, add the blended paste on medium heat, once boil... add in carrot, pepper, salt to taste.

Once carrot are half-cooked, add cabbage, boil for another 10mins, lastly add the egg & stir continuously. Off the heat & add the seaweed.

This soup is great. Can be eaten with any food or by its own.

Champion BBQ Ribs

New York New York ( West Coast )
I was walking around in West Coast Plaza, there's alot of restaurant & cafe but New York New York caught my attention coz the poster of the ribs makes me irresistible, I drop in & was surprise that they have various choice of menus, well my favorite is ribs, doesn't matter whether pork or beef, I must have.

I was alone then, so.. I have the appetizer of baked mussel with cheese & of coz the ribs. I really enjoyed it even the captain teasing me that he offer me their $30 membership card which is worth it for 1 year.

I had my birthday gift at their other outlet in Citylink. I was with my friend, she too told me that the food really value for money.

Lamb Shank
Smile 2011-03-16
Dôme ( Orchard )
I went to Dome Cafe few times, although the menus have alot of choices but I cant resist the Lamb Shank, very tender & juicy meat garnished together with generous helping of sauces, mashed potatoes & blanched veg.

I don't really like the Lobster Thermidor, so much different when I ate before at other restaurants.

I also enjoyed the pumpkin soup, so yummy. Not forgotten, my favourite almond biscotti. For now, I am keeping my finger cross as to when, will I drop by again.
