The Asian Kitchen ( City Hall )
The last time I went to Asian Kitchen was with my mother. Both of us were really excited since it was our first time there.

As we walked in, I was really intrigued by the details of the design and furnishings of the restaurant. I could tell my mom liked it alot since she is a big fan of the chinese culture. The interior design had totally set us in the mood for chinese cuisines.

Noodles are my all time favourites there, and I really recommend the Braised mushrooms duck noodles, Zha ziang mian, and Pork chop la mian! But I also love their signature fried rice with beef!

In my opinion they also serve one of best dumplings around now so it's a must try! The steamed pork dumplings is one dish I never fail to order whenever I'm there.

Lastl my mom also highly recommends their House special cheng teng!

In case you may think the food there are pricey, an order of 2 mains, 1 set of dumplings, and 1 dessert only total to a mere $30! Definitely recommend!

Souperrrrrrrr Value!

The Soup Spoon ( Orchard )
You'll never believe it. I was blown away the very first time I dined at Soup Spoon! I especially love their all time favourite soups such as Beef Goulash, Meatless Ministrone, and Chicken stew!

I always order the Soupervalue Combo Meal now whenever I'm there. Because the combo meal includes your favourite soup, choice of any salad or sandwich and either a pack of chips or apple! And it'll cost only about $12!! It's super worth it!

However I wouldn't say the ambience of the restaurant is very good. It is well furnished definitely, but the frequent crowds and patrons can sometimes create a din.

I wouldn't want to stay long in the restaurant after my meal cause it's not exactly a comfortable and relaxing place to chill at, especially when there is usually a long waiting queue outside posing a rush. It is usually a finish and go thing. That is a minus.

Overall, I would recommend this place if you are up for a hearty meal, but not looking to while your entire night away at the restaurant. Definitely not a place for gatherings!

Interesting variety of food

Tong Shui Café ( Upper Thomson )
Actually there was a restaurant of this at Changi Airport. And that one used to be Halal. But anyway I'm just going to blog about this restaurant.

I love their interiors and their drinks. The interior is pretty cool because they have like this decor at one wall, like photo frames on a wall that are embroided or something like that.

They are featured in newspapers and magazines. So i came here knwo nothing out of it and left with a delightful face, cause though the taste is not my kind of food to eat cause it is foreign, i think they're korean food. I just ordered a mian, the one that looks decent enough to eat, and it tastes healthysmile

Once Upon a Milkshake ( Tanjong Pagar )
This is a very nice dessert shop. My friend brought me here.
Really nice interiors, like a hangout place but it only sells drinks and desserts...
makes me feel like a fairy tale land, cause when i ate the sorbet it just melts in my mouth and I tried my friend's yoghurt waas really not bad cause I'm not a fan of yoghurt anything got to do with milk.

Also, it was drizzling outside at the point of time, it looked misty on the glass walls, but really cozy in the inside. Im grateful my friend brought me there, cause now my workplace is near to it.
You should try all their desserts and just drink plain water they do provide. cause their menu is all oh so sweet, a sweet drink maybe next time.

Come here to chill, have a first date,. chit chat and relaxsmile

P.S The staff also has a cute cashier boy!

Small dishes
Just OK 2011-03-17

Siam Kitchen ( Choa Chu Kang )
I heard of this restaurant from my friends since it is like similar ot Bali Thai has similar food like malay or indonesian variety. The price is whopping expensive to treat a family when you just had your first pay and the food dishes isn't that big but there is many. I didn't like the dishes in the buffet set also cause one thing it is small, and the other is that the small dishes I like are only a few.

But I did go home full but I don't think it is worth the price for 3 a dinner estimated about $100. I planned it to be special but it didn't feel special. And the staff didn't seem friendly maybe because it was busy or the peak hour.

I won't recommend this restaurant also Balithai because the quality of food at normal food centres are still nice, the difference is just the classy chairs and tables and service.

Boulevard Bayfront ( Marina Bay )
I came down from work to chill and were welcomed by the Boulevard babes who provide top class service as they greeted and seemed friendly.

It was my first time there anyway. I didn’t know what to order until the attentive staff recommended me their best sellers. Bayfront is chic and has a trendy interior design with an upfront view of the marina bay sands.

I tried the Italian & herb sausages and spicy wings as side dishes and they go well with my choice of wine. It is value for money. You get to enjoy quality food and time with your friends after work. The atmosphere is relaxing, just came down to have dinner, chill and enjoy the view.

Everything was splendid!

Boulevard Restrobar ( Tanjong Pagar )
I went down to the restaurant with my friends for lunch. I tried the grilled rosemary rack of lamb and it was really delicious. The lamb did not smell raw, and the proportion was ideal for petite size people. I also heard raving comments from my friends who ordered other main courses such as the Crackling pork belly and Quattro Formaggi pizza.

They had wireless internet thus my friends and I hung out there for a while during lunch break. I like the service as it was fast and the staffs were polite and friendly. The place has a trendy setting, and offers a break away from the city life with its stylish décor, a quality cuisine and attentive staff. It is a fine dining experience that would entice people to come back again. I definitely would come back again.
