Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Dim Sum

Wish for authentic Hong Kong dim sum in Singapore where you don't have to purchase an air ticket to savour it? Victor's Kitchen @ Bencoolen Street is the joint to visit! Do not be fool by the setup of the outlet as it will take your breathe away just like Tom Cruise did in Top Gun!

Situated within the Sunshine Plaze, this heart warming dim sum joint will make your heart pounced not once, not twice but throughout the time as they will wow you on their simple but yet authentic Hong Kong style dim sum that will glued any gluttons to their seat. A usual sightings of packed house of patron is what Victor's Kitchen is capable of!

Always remember there is one "sacred" procedure that you have to abide to, which is to request and place and order of XO sauce! A heavenly sauce that will conjoin any dim sum dishes and translate into angelic greatness. The all time personal favourite of mine, the Custard Bun with its grainy fillings oozed with great personality that is just pure enchantment to lay my hands on. The usual local favourite of Siew Mai and Har Gao are packed with total freshness that streamline from the meat fillings and the prawn equating in it. The Phoenix Porridge is light in texture and warm for all glutton's stomach with the right composition of ingredients nothing too empowering nor strong. Last to finish off the meal, their recent hot seller on the menu and the must have, the Summer Ice Tea that is served in a bowl of ice! A soothing platform that maintain the chilling and refreshing effect which highly compliment the silky smooth ice milk tea less any after taste from the dryness. A big thumbs up!

An "A" list dim sum joint on my recommendation that served absolute authentic Hong Kong dim sum at simply reasonable price. Victor's Kitchen is a must visit joint for all! Lastly if you are lucky, you will be able to experience the "3D blabbering" between its staff and the management personnel at the counter, a scenario that you will usually encounter in a Hong Kong food joint! A real true experience!!!

Care for freshly baked breads that are served and selling HOT direct from the fuming ovens?! Soft, tender flaky bread that will melt in your mouth?! Last but not the least the varieties that will leave you drooling. Bunnies is the bakery that will leave you jumping around!

Known this bakery a few years back when they were still in their old school bakery concept and today was taken by surprise on their extensive conversion to their design decor and business structure. Gone was the heaty setup and bread preparation process and now tagged with a clean and structured point of sale mode with hip design decor. Do note that they now have a full running Bunnies menu on their wall to showcase on the pricing and varieties of bread available piping HOT!

Reasonably priced for such great bread quality, highly recommended for all and a bakery not to be missed! A must try choice for all as at the end of day you will be leaving in a jumpy mode!

Craving for pancakes? Pancake lovers in central area would have a place in mind. Strictly Pancake, a dedicated pancake joint that serve pancakes at a no frills concept. Creativity would be highly handy as patrons are able to "customise" their choice of pancakes and sides to add on as a complete meal.

Price and quality of food is deem reasonable that set in a backdrop of warmth which is a great hangout for group gatherings or for a quick and healthy meal. Do be cautious on the portion of pancakes as you may end up busted with overflowing pancakes in your stomach!

Your choice of lazy dining should you be visiting on a weekend! Recommened!
