tried out this famous ipoh hor fun store today. ordered the chicken mushroom hor fun today. unlike the normal hor fun that is known to most of singapore, ipoh hor fun uses ordinary thin hor fun noodles. not the thick ones that we are used to. the noodle was nice and soft and not mushy and did not stick together. the chicken and mushroom also blended well with the thick gluey sauce. overall the dish was delicious and well worth the wait.

ma fu yuan is currently celebrating its 17th year annivesary, and hence there was a special menu for this month of july with everything on that menu being $17++. so we ordered several dishes. the most memorable was the stirred fried beef. the beef was very soft an succulent. the above picture is the beef brisket. inside there is a variety of beef from beef lungs to the actual meat itself. all was very well cooked and delicious. the service staff was also very attentive and they frequently helped to refill your tea cup.

my mum's birthday was coming around the corner, so i bought a cake from prima to celebrate the occasion. bought the white chocolate cake. the cake was beautifully decorated with white chocolate flowers and was coated with white chocolate all over. the cake was also very nice and moist, with little bits of chocolate chips inside, making it slightly crunchy inside.

a group of my friends and i decided to try out this korean bbq place after hearing good reviews on it. the meat choices were wide and plenty, with pork, beef, chicken, mutton in various different cuts. from bacon strips to pork chops. you also get a choice of marinated meat or just plain ones.

the staff was also very attentive, where they helped you to change the foil. they even helped to cook a few pieces of meat for you. Overall the meat and food was delicious. however it was very hot and stuffy inside, with all the fumes everywhere.

it cost 20++, which was around $23.8. it was very worth it, as it was a buffet with endless amount of food and time.

bought a chocolate muffin today from breadtalk. the muffin as expected from breadtalk was very nice. it was still warm when i bought it this morning. the chocolate remained moist and wet despite leaving it for the entire morning and afternoon. the sweetness was just right and you could taste the chocolate, not the artificial flavouring. the service staff was also very quick despite the long q in the morining.
