Chewy Junior ( Bugis )

Awesome Chewy Junior Puffs!
My School NYP has got some charity event on going so chewy junior's puffs were sold for higher prices. As to support the charity, my friend bought these to treat us! The puffs were extremely great and the cream is fresh. Most of the flavours I tried before, and i think the strawberry andchocolate one are the nicest. I think the puffs are the best when served chilled. The best snack and dessert ever!

Sushi Deli ( Yishun )

The sushi at sushi deli is my favourite when i am alone and wanna get my meal fixed quick. The sushi choices are a lot, and each of them are packed with plastic cover, handy and convenient but not so environmental friendly. I chose three sushi that i usually will order and a onigiri with mayonaise crab. the seaweed sheet is nice, i love the fresh and roasted flavour and the crispy texture. the rice is chewy and the ingredients are fresh too.

Ban Mian / Fish Soup - Koufu ( Ang Mo Kio )

the ban mian stall at koufu is almost one of the stalls that i often patronise, because i love their soup broth which is quite tasty. the noodle is springy and chewy, cooked till just nice would not be too soggy. i prefer to order their you mian or dumpling mee, the dumpling is very nice to eat together with the vinegar and ginger stripes. there are also fried anchovies and fried shallot on top that added some flavour and crunchines to the noodle.

Drinks & Breakfast - Koufu ( Ang Mo Kio )

long time never eat the luo mai gai (chicken glutinuos rice) already so i had it for my breakfast at school. the glutinuos rice is steamed till soft and sticky together , and the ingredients inside is quite generous in portion too. there are chicken, chinese sausage, mushroom and hard boiled egg slice. this bowl of glutinuos rice really make me feel very full after eating.

Japanese Cuisine - South Canteen ( Ang Mo Kio )

kaki fuyong chicken $3.30

the one food i will order from the japanese stall is the kaki fuyong chicken. i just cant resist the fragrant egg smell from the sizzling hot plate together with the sweet teriyaki gravy and the fried chicken fillet on top. the rice is also clearly separated, and i love this kind of sushi rice which is chewy and a bit sticky. the egg is really very fragrant and nice, just that the gravy is a bit too sweet.

Sumo Japanese - Koufu ( Ang Mo Kio )

japanese curry katsu rice
the japanese stall at NYP koufuhave quite a wide variety of choices compared to south canteen's. the curry series have chicken cutlet, pork cutlet and fish fillet, and i think the chicken one is nicer so i had this. the chicken is breaded and deep fried and then cut into strips, poured on it is the japanese type of curry which is not spicy and quite sweet. though the curry taste just like the packet one, i still feel satisfied to have this plate of rice, the rice is chewy and nice.

Chicken Rice Stall - Koufu ( Ang Mo Kio )

chicken rice is one of the famous dish in singapore so there are widely available in any food court. the chicken rice at koufu is quite popular and consider quite nice compared to south canteen's. the chicken is tender and not dry, but the rice is not moist and it's too dry. the gravy in the rice is tasty which i think it's just soy sauce plus chicken soup.. anyway this plate of rice is quite filling only with the bowl of soup.

Chinese Cuisine - Koufu ( Ang Mo Kio )

koufu economic rice is one of the stall that i seldom order, maybe due to less interest in economic rice. Anyway the choice of dishes is not wide enough, and the dish presentation doesnt make me interested to order. the dish i order is also not very nice, the spinach is tasteless, and the fish has some fishy smell.. the pork is okay, nicely braised, and the gravy make the rice moer tasty.

Waffles & Snacks - South Canteen ( Ang Mo Kio )

my school south canteen stall sells the beancurd at only $0.50 and it's superb! very smooth and fine and full with bean flavour! and it's really cheap also! singapore is actually trending for the laoban kind of beancurd but actually i also love this kind of more traditional beancurd texture. and it's best eat when its still have a little warm in it. the syrup is just nice for me, not too sweet to eat with the sugarless beancurd.

Mr. YouTiao ( Novena )

matcha youtiao
first time ever tried you tiao with matcha flavour, its quite special and nice, and interesting too coz of the creative idea. nowadays its the idea that costs smile the combination is quite good and suitable, the chewy dough is deep fried till golden colour, not too oily though. the youtiao itself is full with matcha (green tea) flavour, then the dough is very chewy and fragrant so i love it a lot.

Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant ( Balestier )

assorted dimsum
just some cooked food while waiting for the steamboat to get cooked

some spread of vege for the steamboat
tofu, cabbage, carrot, brocolli, tomato, taupok, vermiceli, and lots of mushrooms

mock fish balls, prawn cakes, mushroom balls and fish cakes

the steamboat broth we had are tomyum and chicken herbal soup. the buffet choice is normal, not very impressed with the choidce of ingredient, but the ingredient is clean and fresh so it's still worth the price.. the surrounding of the restaurant is clean too, and its air-conditional so no sweating and messy you can enjoy the steamboat with friend or family comfortably. they also play birthday songs for those who have birthday celebration there, the service is good.

Fullhouse Cafe ( Dhoby Ghaut )

refreshing and sweet milkshake (honeydew milkshake & kiwi fruit yogurt ice blended)
i love the glass they used esp the one on the left, cute and interesting, quite special too. the one on the right is too milky which i dont like but my frien love it.

wok sear chicken chop
the setting of the food is elegant, and the flavour is quite strong coz it's pepper raisin juice. anyway the chicken is tender and full with herbflavour too, the mashed potato is great coz its fine and smooth.

Doong Ji Korean Restaurant ( Marine Parade )

second time to doong ji! the side dish is still what i craving for.. there are the cold lotus root, kimchi, seasoned spinach, seasoned seaweed, seasoned jap chae (bean thread), and lastly the mashed potato. the recommended one is lotus root, seaweed and mashed potato.. but dont refill too much if you are ordering main dish coz it's gonna be very full!

beef bibimbap
the sauce is in a jar and you can add the portion yourselves. i love the process of mixing a lot to make it look more delicious and to make myself more hungry and appetised.

tofu seafood soup
the soup is spicy base, with a lot of tofu and vege inside, warm and nice.. seafood and other ingredients given are in generous portion too!

Recommended Dish(es):
bibimbap

Malaysia Boleh ( Boon Lay )
went to try this Malaysia boleh food court as i'm malaysian.. okay no other meaning/offense, just miss malaysia food alot!

lobak $5
Lobak is like Wu Xiang (Ngoh Heong) in Singapore, the ingredients often have deep fried tofu, deep fried prawn cracker cake, meat roll, fish cake/fish ball, sausages and other fried stuff.. this one isn't very nice compared to Malaysia's.. the chilli sauce is the sambal type which i dont think is suitable for this..

laksa $4
This is similar to Penang assam laksa, but pricing is much more expensive compared to malaysia's. but if you never tried penang assam laksa before, maybe this can be your trial in sg..

KL wanton mee $4
Dono what is so special about this.. just normal wanton mee.. the soup is quite milky and not the clear type maybe because the noodle flour made it so..

reminiscing the old good times? the cup really make us think back our childhood times.. the longan drink also becomes tastier smile

fried oyster omelette $6
the fried oyster omelette is something disappointing, the flour and egg mixture being stir till it become a paste.. and the oyster given is also very limited.. not worth trying..

fried kuey teow $4
the fired kuey teow is not bad, very fragrantly fried. the prawn given is really big and in generous portion, but not fresh and very salty.. i think they use the salt to preserve the prawn or to cover the fishy smell of it..

the seat is very limited but if you really wanted to try malaysian food, it's still worth waiting for tables and the very long queue..

Recommended Dish(es):
laksa,fried kuey teow

ThaiExpress ( Jurong East )

tomyam soup
the tomyum soup is something i always craving for, esp the spicy and sour one. Thai express served quite good tomyum soup..

this set come with the above tomyum soup.. the fried balls are actually potato smashed and rolled, deep fried to golden colours. very nice snack to eat with the thai sauce but definitely not for dish with rice..

curry chicken prata
the curry is full with the 8 star spices flavour which i dont quite like.. anyway the prata is not bad, crispy on the crust when eaten warm..

green curry chicken fried rice set
the only thing nice is the fried rice, the salad and clear seafood soup taste weird to me.. not to mention the dessert which i din even touch it..
