Romantic farm view meal Smile Oct 24, 2013

Categories : Australian / New Zealand | Bars/Lounges

We have been here several times, mostly for dinner.
The environment is outdoor with greenery views overlooking the farm. It is cool and relaxing.

The food on the menu will not create a big hole in your wallet.
Most of them cost around 10-20 dollars.

The cafe also sell Australian wines and beer.

Tonight we ordered the baked rice and dory+prawns.

Sausage baked rice is topped with plenty of cheese, flavorful. The sausages is a bit crunchy on the skin (reminds me of taiwan sausages) and the portion of it is generous.

The dory and prawns served with wedges is nicely done up too. The prawns is processed in a way the texture is crunchy. The dory fish batter taste good too.

We upgraded the meals with a soup and a drink. We had the flavored fruit tea. I find the passion fruit tea super aromatic and tasty.

will be back for more.

Recommended Dish(es):  sausage baked rice

Spending per head: Approximately $15(Dinner)

Stumbled across this shop near my office one weekday at a corner of a row of shophouse at tan quee lan st, nearer the beach road end.

I ordered the rice set meal which comes with a milk tea.
For the rice, you need to order
1) the meat - chicken, spicy chicken, fish, ham (also made of chicken)
2) the sauce - mushroom, thai, ....etc

The chicken cutlet is big considering the price. It was served piping hot from the stove! love it. The chicken is juicy and smooth. The sides of greens and fries complete the meal.

I picked the milk brown rice tea. which reminds me of the TW bubble tea i had in TW. super love the light fragrant tea.

All these cost only $6.80.

I returned to the shop on a public holiday. Ordered the bear paw bun this time.
This is how you order
1) select the bun - milk, brown sugar, wheat
2) the meat - chicken, spicy chicken, fish, ham (also made of chicken)
3) the sauce - mushroom, thai, ....etc
The milk bun i had is soft and tasty even by itself . The meat is good as ever. The packing is thoughtful as the meal will mean mess for many. The brown sugar bun is also yummy.

Had the Assam milk tea , even better than the brown rice milk tea! strongly recommend those who love milk tea.

All for $6.80!

Definitely be back for other combi.

I have been to the smaller outlet at raffles city basement, and is very happy to know they have opened up a new and bigger branch at suntec.

The staffs are efficient and friendly. You have to place your order and pay up at the counter first before you are shown your seats.

I ordered the mixed beef soup noodle. The noodle is served seconds after we took our seats!

The speed is good however due to this, the noodles is not quite well cooked.
The noodle is still hard, unless we leave it to soak for a good 5-10mins before eating.

The beef are tender and tasty.
The namnam soup is always the best, flavorful with the dash of lime and chilli.
there are plenty of sauces on each table for adding the taste.

Overall, i will be back for more.

Seoul good and fast Smile Oct 16, 2013

This cafe is at the old Haagen Daz outlet at a corner of Jurong Point third floor next to the Kopitiam FEAST.

The decoration of the cafe looks hippy and I am drawn to it as it seem to be some korean fast food outlet.

The give out a packet of tissue for each order. I tot that is quite thoughtful.
The 'bowls' they used are unique.
I had the bibimbab and top up the meal with a french fries and a soft drink.

I like the crunchy thingy in the dish. but i cant quite tell what is that made of .

The bowl's serving is quite big for one person.

Overall value for money for a korean 'fast food' treat.

I only realized lately that Mos Burger actually sells breakfast. I went to try the burger, ordered the egg mayo burger.

The bun is soft and fluffy, taste really fresh. The egg mayo stuffing is filled up the whole burger along with tomato slice and lettuce.

I love how Mos burger present their burgers in the special triangular wrap that helps diners have a mess-free meal.

I will get a soft fluffy burger for breakfast treat again.
