As one of my colleagues is vegetarian, we are recommended by him to try out this unique vegetarian Japanese cuisine, located at Fortune Centre, Bugis. The ambience is quite nice, just that it's a little bit noisy and the lighting is dim. We ordered the bento set each and some side dish to share.

The mock salmon sashimi really imitates the texture and even the flavour of the real salmon well!

This nice Roasted Pumpkin Cubes is our favourite. Very fragrant and sweet.

The bento here are all very large in portion and very completed meal with appetiser, main, soup, desserts and fruits.

Ordered the Unagi Bento ($20+). The mock unagi is very fragrant with teriyaki sauce, and there is crispiness in the outer layer.

The Teriyaki Chicken Rice Set ($20+) comes together with the braised tofu, fried onion rings, salmon sashimi, preserved vegetables and salad.

The Miso Ramen Set ($20+) has the mock sashimi sushi which looks and tastes the same as the real one, the agedashi tofu, the salad and fried braised vege to come along.

Each bento is really satisfying as we get to eat a variety of dishes in one set. they are really filling, so come with empty stomach! They sell vegetarian western cuisine too! And I really have to admit that this is very high quality vegetarian cuisine that I've tried so far.

Recommended Dish(es):  Unagi rice bento

Spending per head: Approximately $30(Dinner)

Mee sua Smile Jul 23, 2013

I've always loved the oyster mee sua from shihlin taiwan street snacks stalls. Whenever i have the craving for it, i will buy back to eat as dinner. The mee sua is very fragrant and flavourful, there are chicken shreds and oysters as ingredients, added with the parsley and a little bit of chilli they noodle is totally irresistable. The noodle is best consumed when hot, when it gets cold it will be weird and not so delicious.

Toast work’s food is quite similar to toast box.
I order Set A with toast bread (kaya+butter), 2 half boiled egg and coffee.
The coffee is smaller cup than the toast box.But I like it,it taste nice.
I pour some coffee into the half boiled-egg,it taste nice.
The toast is also nice, very crispy and the butter is taste nice.
My friend order the chee cheong fun.
Im not really like it as it is too “compact”, it is tasteless inside,I more prefer thinner one.
There are also beehoon set .
Beehoon plus egg,and 2 “chun juan”,and one drink.
The milo also taste nice.

This stall’s fish soup is quite famous as I see there are some newspaper article show at the stall.
The special one is we can choose the type of noodle, there are, “you mee hoon”, “chu mee hoon”, “mee sua”, “dou qian”, “magi mee”.
I order the bitter gourd with fish soup (+milk) with mee sua.
It cost $5. The taste is nice, and the slice fish is really fresh.
I like it so much.
My friend order the normal fish slice soup with “dou qian”.
Without milk.
It taste nice too even without milk.
The dou qian is soft and the hardness is just right.
Both of us also like it.
