I have heard of the xiao long bao at this restaurant many times. I have also heard that the restaurant is always packed with customers and customers have to get queue numbers in order to get a table.

The first time I went was on a weekend, it was so packed that I had to give up. We were back again another day, this time on a weekday and yes, we got in with a reservation.. only after waiting for an hour.

The xiao long bao were really amazing, you get to choose your own soup base, either in 10 pieces of one flavour or it comes with 8 pieces, 8 different flavors.

I must say the xiao long bao was worth waiting and I will definitely go back again.

I got myself a Popsicle from frost bite. I thought it was interesting, it's like I don't actually get to find these fresh ones commonly. From a rather wide spread of flavors to choose from, I chose the honey soy since I figured a lighter flavor would be better for digestion. Would like to try the chocolate blueberry cheese cake next time. They're really yummy.

Chocolate Cupcake. Smile Jul 29, 2011

I finally got the opportunity to try the chocolate cupcake from Awfully Chocolate! Next will be the white chocolate cupcakes. The chocolate cupcakes are like the single serving portion of the large round cakes, since Awfully Chocolate doesn't sell their specialty chocolate round cakes in slices anyway. The cupcake tasted really rich and heavenly!

I think this is possibly the biggest outlet in Singapore. With 2 stories and never-ending crowd on weekends, I haven't been here on a weekday. I ordered a double scoop and had it all to myself. I ordered a scoop of mao shan wang and earl grey.

Excellent is an understatement to describe the mao shan wang. The durian aroma is exceptionally good, the quality is fresh and the ice-cream is smooth, just like all other Udders’ flavors, non-icy, melts in your mouth with oomph with every spoonful.

Island Creamery. Smile Jun 28, 2011

A home-grown brand.

What really interests me isn't actually their unique local flavors like Chendol, Durian, Bandung, Milo Ping Pong (Milo-flavored ice cream with marsh mellows) or even Tiger Beer sorbet, but instead, their chocolate flavors or their good and affordable Mud Pie.

I shared a double scoop with my boyfriend and that explains the other flavor in white: Soursop. Mine was the Reverse-O, basically rich chocolate ice-cream with oreo cookie chunks, simply indulging. One of my favorites of all time.

Not my first time and Island Creamery and certainly will return!
