Buffet Town offers a wide array of international choices, ranging from seafood and sushi to italian pasta, nonya cuisine, chinese cuisine, western cuisine, japanese cuisine as well as a satisfying variety of desserts to choose from. I tried most of the choices offered and for $29 per person for lunch, I'd say this is a very affordable choice!
Sushi

Sushi

The sushi platter had choices that were a little different from the usual selection.

I tried many dishes from the chinese and nonya cuisine and all of them were very good and tasted pretty authentic.
Customised Aglio Olio

Customised Aglio Olio

The Italian pasta station allows you to customize your dish with ingredients, types of pasta and sauces to choose from.
Laksa

Laksa

The laksa was not bad, but it could have been spicier.

The cakes were great! From top left: sesame, strawberry milk, marble, mango
Ice Cream on waffles

Ice Cream on waffles

Ice cream waffles: one reason I will keep going back to this buffet restaurant. The free-flow waffles and ice cream is heavenly! I chose cookies and cream and mango ice cream and both of them were very good!

Highly recommended and low-budget. 9/10

Get crayfish with your hor fun Smile Mar 30, 2012

When it comes to Ipoh Hor Fun, I swear by this place. When I was working at Tanjong Pagar, I would always drop by Amoy Street Food Centre to eat Ipoh Hor Fun for lunch. What I like about this stall is that their version of the Ipoh Hor Fun is very unique as they make use of chinese herbs to make their food tastier.
Crayfish Hor Fun

Crayfish Hor Fun

I recommend two dishes at this stall, the Crayfish Hor Fun and the Fried fish Hor Fun. Both are equally good and are priced roughly the same as well. Their fried fish is somewhat a popular snack as I often see people buying extra plates along with their hor fun.

Taste test: 9/10
Price: very affordable!
Be sure to go early to avoid the long queues.

Still a favourite Smile Jun 06, 2012

This is really awesome stuff! At just $4+ you get a huge chicken leg, rice with generous serving of gravy, great chilli and curry vegetables! I always order their grilled chicken as it is their speciality as well as my favourite. I am always full after eating this as the chicken is huge and both the servings of rice and vegetables are generous. The vegetables are optional and sell out very quickly. They usually run out of vegetables by 2pm in the afternoon. 9/10

I had this as a before lunch snack. It was really good! The pastry was thin and flaky and the filling was just the right amount of salty. The filling was also slightly moist and not too dry. However, I did not like the size of the tau sar piah as it was too small! I paid $1.20 for this and I feel that it is 3/4 the size of a normal tau sar piah that you can get elsewhere.

Nice but expensive 8/10

I ordered this for lunch as the queues at the other stalls were too long and I was in a rush. Rice was served generously but it was not well cooked and the gravy given was too little. The potato cubes were nice and the vegetables tasty and crunchy. The pork was too hard and I had a hard time chewing. All in all, just an average meal 6/10
