Rojak Smile Jul 02, 2013

The rojak sold here is out of the norm. The ingredients are not all mixed together with the sauce instead you are meant to dip them in the sauce. I had a Rojak - $5 to share and must admit I much prefer the normal style of sauce where the sauce clings to all parts of the ingredients instead of just the part that you dip it in. Worth a try though, I guess.

Otah Smile Jul 02, 2013

We ordered from this place to cater for a family gathering. All the food tasted great! I especially liked the otah! It was really soft and succulent and each piece was juicy. The otah was filled with chunks of real fresh fish and prawns and all these added tons of texture and flavor. It was a little spicy but not too much such that you can't taste the other flavours. Overall a really great dish that goes well with other dishes! The otah dish costs $8/pc and this was a catered dish ordered a la carte.

Authentic Chendol Smile Jul 01, 2013

The chendol here is really really good for Singapore standards. i would even go to say it is probably one of the best you can get in Singapore. The red beans are all cooked to perfection, so soft and sweet that there is almost no resistance to them. The gula melaka used is premium quality too, thick smooth rich and sweet! The coconut milk is rich and delicious and adds tons of flavour. Worth the $2.80 for sure.

Delicious prawn mee Smile Jul 01, 2013

The prawn mee here is pretty good. I guess that's why the queue is always so long. Priced reasonably, the prawn mee soup has a pretty good flavour and the prawns used are fresh and cooked to perfection. I must prefer the dry version though, the delicious sauce is absolutely delicious and complements the ingredients and noodles super duper well. They also give lots of beansprouts for crunch.

Tang Hoon Smile Jul 01, 2013

Jai thai has good thai food at really reasonable prices. The range of dishes is really extensive too as the quality is really good for the price. We came here with a group of 7 people and hence ordered large portions for most of our dishes! We were really pleasantly surprised with the large portion sizes and ate to our hearts content. The tang hoon with tofu was especially good tasty and not too oily.

I was also very impressed with the fried fish with Thai chilli sauce. Each piece of fish was perfectly fried and was juicy and succulent. The accompanying sauce had lots of flavour too! This huge dish only cost $12.
