After Ice skating, went to nearby restaurant " Eat at Taipei 吃在台北 " and decided to give it a try.

The environment is still okay, crowd on Sunday afternoon is still not very crowded. After placing order, food is served within 10minutes (that's considered quite fast speed)

Order the Taiwan-Style Braised Minced Meat Rice ($8.50) , Don't really like it as the rice is very sticky and hard even with mixture of the sauce. The meat is also not minced meat as per indicated on the menu.The Vermicelli with Oyster & Pig's intestine ($7.20). The mee sua is quite nice, smooth and the pig's intestine is also cleaned very well. Oyster is fresh too.Eat at taipei blended milk tea ($2.80). Taste not bad like those bubble tea milk tea. Oyster Omelette ($7.50). Different from taiwan omlette. This is very crispy and also super oily. kind of regretted ordering this, when we had a mouth of it, it seems like we're eating the oil instead. they added alot vegetables and sauce is separated.Spicy Taiwanese Braised Beef Noodle ($7.50). Quite a big bowl, beef is also quite alot. Noodle is smooth. Spicy is still alright.Overall, food is still okay, but definitely won't recommend the omelette to people unless they eat super oily food. But maybe will be back to tryout other dishes. Hopefully less-er oil they used.

went back to dine again, compared the the previously this time round was much more spicy. they added more red chilli. prefer it to be less spicy and hot. but this is still acceptable. this is my all time food in orchard. the pricing now also increased from $5.50 to current $6. the pork is boneless and lot of meat. quite expensive, the rice is also too less. overall, must try if you're a salted egg lover.

I was recommended by cousin this bakery shop. The shop design is very beautiful, the choice of bread is also quite a lot. I bought a Plain Croissant, which taste normal nothing special. Chocolate bun (buy 2 get 1 free : so i took 2 chocolate and 1 white chocolate ) and these buns and they are very good, covered evenly with chocolate chips. Longan Fruit tarts , longan doesn't taste fresh and the tarts below is a bit hard. Overall, total spent $12. Pricing is expensive.

First time trying out this Hippopotamus Restaurant Grill, the crowd there was still acceptable. Their menu is limited while they specialize in steaks and beef. Mains come with a choice of 2 side dishes (Fries, Potato Gratin, Green Beans etc) and 1 accompanying sauce (BBQ, Bearnaise, Homemade Thai Chili etc).

Ordered the rack of lamb was impressive of the looks and taste. cooked to the right tenderness. It's juicy and goes well with the sides (French Fries, Potato Gratin, Green Beans, Baked Potato, Ratatouille and Steamed Vegtables) and sauces given. the potato gratin is very nice, creamy and addictive no wonder it's a chef recommendation. Steamed vegetables is cooked nicely and not hard.

Overall nice to try out this restaurant.

Went to dine with my friends as they gotten a scratch-to-win card from giant and the promo was buddy meal $8.50. inclusive of 2 whip potatos, 4 pieces of chicken and 2 cup of drinks green tea. we changed the drinks to other drinks, and one of the whip potatos to normal small fries. the manager serving us is quite nice and friendly. the queue is not very long thus serving is fast. the chicken is also hot and crispy but is too oily under the skin. overall, finger licking good.
