Thanks openrice for the foodtasting session. I am Legend is located at Big Box Level 3 (Yummybox).

Truffle fries tastes like normal fries with shredded cheese on it. And find paying $8.90 for it was not worth it.
love the freshly made onion rings

love the freshly made onion rings

The onion rings are freshly cooked upon order so the fresh onion tastes fresh. The lamp chop have the typical gaminess. The lamb chop is tender and not too dry though but I don’t like the gaminess
Eggplant

Eggplant

Grilled Aubergine. The egg plant is soaked with oil and lack of taste. And I doesnt like eggplant so this is not not my cup of tea.

My favorite dish for the night.I like the Dory Fish & Chip.(S$10.90). Was surprised that it is dory fish, as it does taste like more expensive type of fish. Though, it is priced at $10.90, higher than usual foodcourt prices, but the portion is huge, and taste great!

Seafood Aglio Oglio is quite nice because of the generous amount of seafood in it. I like it as the pasta nicely absorbed the freshness and sweetness of the assorted seafood in it but frankly it doesn’t seems like Aglio Oglio as it is abit too watery. It tastes like a western fusion of Fried Hookien Mee with a tinge of spiciness. But whatever, as long as it tastes good, I like it smile

Salted Egg Yolk Pasta. I felt that it is overpriced for food court and portion is rather small. Perhaps, it would be good to increase the amount of pasta for customers like us who are looking for a value for money meal. Like the generous amount of prawn in it, it tastes fresh and succulent. However, doesn’t really like the overpowering salted egg taste of it.
garoupa fish

garoupa fish

Grill Garoupa(S$15.90) are quite good, with their sweet in house sauce but I personally doesnt like bony fish so I prefer the dory fish & chip.

I like their seafood most, as all of them taste fresh and sweet. However, find some of the items too pricey for a foodcourt at big box and portion too little for pasta.

Seasons Bistro  Smile Jan 17, 2015
Categories : American | Brunch

Cajun Blacken Fish Taco $16
Avocado mayonnaise, pickled onions, cripsy shallots, cotija cheese and cilantro jalapeno watercress salad on tortilla shell.
My favorite dish of the night, the Fish taco taste great with the appetizing avocado mayonnaise. However, I find it slightly overcooked.

Pan seared foie gras $19
Pain De mie, chocolate ganache, bacon jam, caramalized bananas and granola crumbs
I dont really like to eat foie gras. I like the french toast, with bacon jam...

Superfood salad $18
Quinoa, broccoli, blueberries, capsicums, avocado, baby spinach, herbs, promegranate & pumpkin seeds, citrus vinaigrette
Personally, I dont like this salad, as I dont like to eat vegetable and find quite dry. I prefer the baka cobb's salad instead, with bacon, chicken etc in it!

Baja Cobb's Salad $19
Cajun spiced chicken, eggs, beans, bacon, olives, corn, greens, watercress, tomatoes, avocado blue cheese and red wine vinaigrette.
For someone who dont like to eat vegetables like me, this is a yummy salad, with lots of crispy bacon and egg. The cajun spiced chicken is too hard and dry. I would be if they include tender chicken thigh meat in it instead.

The Seasons fried chicken $25
Sucootash and delived ranch dessing and homemade ketchup
Cripsy fried chicken that taste fine and not too oily. However, $25 for this is too expensive for this portion. I think they should include mashed potato/fries/butter rice for a more complete meal.

Jerk Spiced Pork Meatloaf $29
Maple Bacon, spinach, mashed potatoes & gravy
Meatloaf with generous amount of soft pork in it, however I find that the spice is too overwhelming. The maple bacon is cripsy and sweet!

Seasons Cheese Burger $25
Homemade 200gm USDA beef patty, stripy jack cheese, brioche bun, caramelized onions, bcaon, mushrooms, homemade catsup and mistard with fries.
I didnt eat the cheese burger, because I dont eat beef. Heard from other diners, that the beef is too dry and cooked. I like the fries though, similar to mcdonald's kind of fries. It didnt get too hard or soggy even after some time!

Lamb Rack $32
The best dish of the night! I dont usually eat lamb but this is good, the lamb is tender and taste great! It is nicely seasoned to cover up the gamey taste and aroma of the lamb! And I love the mushroom with the gravy, delicious!

Southend Pasta $22
homemade tomato sauce, tagliatelle, their chorizo sausages, fennel, tomatoes, basil, chili, loads of parmesan.
I love tomato based pasta, the fennel is al dente. However, the chorizo sausages doesnt taste good, the spice is too overwhelming.

Maple Pumplin Cheesecake $12
I doesnt usually like cheesecake but this is quite good, as it is only a little cheesy. There is  biscuit crust, hence this cheesecake is more on a hard side. A nice dessert to complete this lovely foodtasting session!

Miss D's Pecan Pie $12
Others commented that this is too sweet, but personally I love their sweet, soft and smooth vanilla ice cream! Pecan pie is too sweet though.

Yummy Food Tasting Session  Smile Dec 18, 2014
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Ramen

Thank you Openrice for the invite. Had a great food tasting session on Saturday!

Strawberry Makgeolli. Sweet alcoholic cocktail

Yellow - mango and passionfruit soy

Tofu with Century Egg($8)
Refreshing dishes to start the meal. The tofu is so soft and smooth, but I find the century egg too little and small.

Carrot Cake with Saffron $8.
The colour and appearance of it look so cute! This taste like mochi, but quite bland, with the little xo sauce. Perhaps it would be better if they fried it together with the xo sauce.

 Chicken Wings Fritto $6
This is one of my favorite dishes of the day! Crispy and taste sweet! This remind of thai chicken wing. Just hope that this can be bigger, as it taste great! I want more please!

Homemade Pan-fried Goyza $5
Crispy skin and juicy tasty meat in it! It taste so good!

Tuna Sashimi & Avocado Salad Asian Style ($12)
Fresh tuna, with 80% cooked egg yolk, avocado, and crispy seaweed. We have to put all ingredients together and roll it into a sushi.
Love these combination, strongly recommended you to order when you are there!

Homemade Kua Pao $8
Love their homemade pao, it is soft and fluffy. I like the bbq sauce in it, and asked for more, taste great with the cha siew, vegetable and of course the fluffy pao!

Tonkotsu Shiro Ramen (White Ramen) $12
This is my favorite ramen for the day! I dislike ramen that is too salty hence this fare well. Love the creamy and concentrated tonkotsu soup base. The cha siew taste great but would be better if it is softer ( those melting in mouth effect). The runny egg is perfectly done, that I always wanted to have for ramen! The noodles is springy, made in store by their chef!

Tonkotsu Kuro Ramen ( Black Ramen) $13

Not really black actually, with fragrant black sesame oil that enhance the taste of this ramen. I find this slightly more salty than the white ramen (Tonkotsu Shiro Ramen). I prefer lighter taste ramen, hence I prefer the white ramen more.

Tonkotsu Aka Ramen (Red Ramen) $13
Great for spicy lover like me, actually the soup base taste abit like Spicy Maggi Mee. There is only some minced dried scallop in it. Would be good to have more seafood in it.

Afternoon tea time  OK Nov 19, 2014
Categories : Asian Variety | Fusion | High Tea | Pasta | Seafood

Had our lunch somewhere else, and here we are at arteastiq boutique tea lounge for afternoon tea time!

Love the classy decor, and the beautiful chair. We can have a relaxing afternoon, with a good view of the ever busy orchard road.

We bought The Secret Garden( matcha lava cake n yuzu ice cream) for only $2.20 (UP $12.90) on IWANTSUGAR APP. The matcha cake taste too sweet, and the lava wasn't that abundant.  I love the generous scoop of refreshing, citrusy yuzu gelato with real yuzu bites in it... Super nice!

Crystal Jade Golden Palace (Paragon). 翡翠金阁.. Using our $20 voucher, so total bill around $60 plus for 4 of us. (no pickles free ice water, and free towel)
The steam glutinous rice ( 2 for S $5.50) is not bad but I dont really like salted egg in it.
The xiao long bao (S $5.50) taste okay, the soup is not hot enough...
The piggy custard bun is so cute right.. S $6.30 for 3, expensive cos is very normal n small.. wouldnt order again.. it is just for the cuteness once.
Their steam bbq pork bun is juicy and tasty... S $4.80.
Their har gow (S $6) , prawn is big, juicy and succulent. Delicious!
The baby abalone siew mai (S $9.50) is my favorite, with abalone, pork and prawn. juicy and taste great!
Siew Mai (S $5.80) taste goood with a good mixture of prawn and pork. Yummy.
The teochew dumpling with assorted mushroom n veg... I like thin crystal skin n tasty ingredients. Yum.

Super like their dim sum with reasonable price!
