I had chicken cutlet with stewed rice. It comes along with an egg which is like those Japanese marinated eggs. Very nice! Also, there are 2 side dishes, peanut and some tomato mixed thingy which is spicy. Didn't like the sides at all. But the stewed pork rice is really delicious and fragrant. Too bad the portion is too little to mix with the rice. Chicken cutlets were a tad too hard too. Overall, i only liked the stew rice! I also had ice milk tea with pearls. It tasted really nice like those bubble tea in Taiwan. Pearls are rather chewy and a little hard for my liking though. Lastly, i had mango ice. It was rather sweet. Too much syrup added. Overall, i love the place, the service and the food wasn't too bad.

Their most famous and popular dessert are none other than their Mango sago pomelo. I love the additional of pomelo as mango sago is sweet and pomelo gives a tinge of sourness. This combination is perfect. The mango are fresh and sweet, sago are soft and the juice are smooth and rich! Delicious cooling dessert in this kind of humid Singapore weather! Absolute heavenly!

I had this brown kueh with coconut all over. I think it is called kueh kosui. 6 pieces per pack for $1.80. I love the way it is made. It is very soft, a little sticky and chewy and very aromatic. A sweet little dessert which is smooth and cooling. It taste even better chilled! Also, they have this pandan swiss roll. The special thing is that they had Mozzarella cheese in the creams. Very special and tasty! Worth a try lol

Eastern rice dumpling have cheap affordable, great tasty dumplings! I had no. 3 dumpling. The glutinous rice is very soft and fragrant. The entire dumpling is marinated in brown sauce. The fillings consist of salted egg yolk, pork, mushroom and chestnut. The meat are very soft and tender. Overall, it is very delicious! A definate must try!

Morton Smile Mar 14, 2011

Morton is a cosy and dimmed bar with great ambience. It is surrounded with high stools and table, sofa seats or counter seats. Favourite after work hang out place. I had chocolate martini. The chocolate are at the base of the drink, can't totally dissolve it causing a lump at the bottom. Was alright but if the lump dissolves, it'll be better and tastier ! We also ordered finger food like blue cheese fries. It was really tasty! Very hot and crispy on the outside and the richness of the potato inside. The blue cheese is not smelly at all. Very fragrant in fact! Price wise a little steep though. All in all, nice chill out place. I love it smile
