Gooood Korean Clam hot pot Smile Dec 03, 2012

Categories : Korean | Steamboat/Hot Pot

Tucked away at Harbourfront is a Halal Korean Restaurant serving pretty good Korean food. I had the Korean Clam soup with Kimchi and not only was it boiling hot for most part of my dinner, it was spicy! When i sniffed the fragrance of the soup, it actually stung my eyes making em watershocked
For $3 top up, I got a 3 kimchi starters plus a white fungus and red dates dessertsmile
It was worth it and I highly recommend you try the ginseng and red date drinksmile it was refreshing and ooh so yummy!
A definite come back for another timesmile

Special Mee Goreng Smile Jul 25, 2012

Categories : Malay | Coffeeshop

This is a wonderful eating place, although there is a lesser crowd here now as the place is undergoing an MRT construction the food quality is still goodsmile
I ordered a $8 packet of special mee goreng for dinner to share with my husband. The portion was huge and the noodles was yummy-licious.
It was sweet, spicy and oily with a nice chunk of mutton in it. I enjoyed it thoroughly and we even had some leftover for the next day, so if use around the area, don't forget to drop by and try.

For tea today, I decide to go to my favorite outlet at Downtown and ordered my usual coffee and a cake - Carrot Cake to go for tea at home.
As the cashier took my order, I was fiddling with my coins to get the exact cash for it, when the supervisor recognized me and asked me about my coffee bean card. I told her I didn't think it was necessary to pay for it by the card as there was no promotion with it for cakes. She then patiently advised me that for every dollar spent, I earned 5 beans and that a 100 beans is equivalent to a $1. Thus, although I had no discount I could collect beans to exchange for cash on my next ordersmile
I was very impressed by her service and that certainly made my daysmile
The carrot cake was a big slice and I could not finish it in 1 sitting. I still have some left in the fridge now, going to have it soon as dessertsmile
One of the best carrot cakes Ive tasted around definitely.

Sushi sushi OK Jul 15, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Sushi/Sashimi

I headed to Ichiban to have some sushi, since it was a weekday I thought it was the best time to head there for dinner for on weekend notes, there's usually a looong queue.
I looked through the menu and decided on my favorite sushi variety - Tako, sweet bean curd, tobiko, unagi hand roll and chukka hotate.

The tako sushi was good although I wished they had placed some wasabi between the tako and the rice. I added some.
The sweet bean curd was good and so was the unagi hand rollsmile
I did not really enjoy the tobiko sushi, as the seaweed did not break easily as i tried to bite into it.
The chukka hotate was good and freshsmile

Perhaps next time, Id try and sit next to the moving sushismile

Good Pasta for Delivery Smile Jul 15, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Italian | Pasta | Halal

This evening, we ordered Pastamania in for dinner. Its our first time trying the delivery for Pastamania. For my first time trying their delivery, I am impressed, the food came within the hour promisedsmile
And the pasta was separated from the gravy to ensure that they don't get soggy. The pizza was abit cold though by the time it got here, but taste was still pretty good - Hot Basil Chicken.
Most impressive was that they included several packet of chilli flakes and cheese along with some tabasco sauce along!
They also gave a complimentary tissue packet that says RESERVED -pretty coolsmile
I would definitely not hesitate to have their delivery again in the future.
