Chrysanthemum sorbet! Smile Jan 15, 2014
Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

Was craving for ice cream and went to Upper Thomson to look for one. Udders is crowded as usual and happened to see Neli's Ice Cream. It is a travel themed ice cream cafe and it is quite cute, as Singapore doesnt have much themed cafes.

Was happy that they have earl grey and happier when I saw chrysanthemum sorbet as not many ice cream places do this.

It was not a weird combi, it tasted good even though there is chocolate sauce drizzled on it.

Best part of this cafe is there is a very clean toilet!!

Good ice cream but... OK Jan 15, 2014

Was visiting a customer then i realised this shop was just along the way. Bought a scoop of chocolate ice cream. It was quality ice cream but was disappointed with their service.

The chocolate ice cream wasnt my first choice as i am not a fan of it. But after asking for 4 flavors which they displayed at the counter, and the service crew responded with a 'dont have already', i was half discouraged to eat it. But the highly raved ice cream and other branches were almost as inaccessible as this branch made me ignore the bad service and ordered the chocolate cone instead.

It was good but i probably will not visit the shop again.

A bowl of goodness Smile Jan 15, 2014

It was the after lunch hour and also an half day for the office people before the public holiday. I was craving for beef noodles but many hawkers were seen packing up while some are already closed for business.

Then i chanced upon this stall where there isnt a queue at all and the uncle is still cooking. Ordered a bowl of goodness and it was only $3!! The soup was heavenly too. The meatballs are handmade.

The auntie is very friendly and asked to take a seat first and have a drink first as the cooking will take awhile. Would love to have this anytime of the day again!

My kind of fast food!  Smile Jan 15, 2014

The queue is never ending no matter what time of the day it is... But i will still queue up for it since the queue move fast and the food is cheap and good.

The stall owner is very generous with the ingredients. And they also offer the slim kuay teow which most of the stalls dont sell that. It is a must eat for me whenever i am near Amoy food centre.

Finally tried it after a year! Cry Jan 15, 2014

Been hearing raves from a fussy chocoholic that the lava cake here is a must try, regardless of the price. There wasnt any patrons when i walked pass it. Then i wondered if its really good...

I chose the mint lava cake and the vanilla bean ice cream to go with. All i can say is, i was very disappointed. The temperature of the ice cream box wasnt cold enough and the ice cream melt a little too fast, and it was too sweet. The quality isnt there. As for the brownie, i am not a fan of it, after eating 3 mouthful, i gave up. It was too sweet and the texture of the cake is hard.

Will not go back again.
