TERMS AND CONDITIONS
GENERAL
- The campaign named Be My Guest Super Reviewer Campaign is conducted and operated by OpenRice (The organizer). ("The organizer").
- By entering the campaign, participants agree that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
- The campaign opens to OpenRice members only.
- The campaign runs in 7 regions as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, China and Taiwan.
- Campaign period begins from 9th Sep 2013 00:00:00 to 6th Oct 2013 23:59:59 (Local time).
- OpenRice reserves the right to reject review(s) that do not meet our review campaign guidelines.
- All winner(s) are obligated to have their photo taken by an OpenRice staff when collecting their prize(s). Failure to abide by the clause may result in forfeiture of prize(s).
- Employees of OpenRice and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the competition.
- All time in the campaign is based on records of OpenRice. OpenRice is not responsible for any technical problems in connection with transmission or review campaign including electronic data transmission, traffic congestion on the Internet or on the Web Site, hardware or software error, equipment failure or malfunction, or other online communications problems.
ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION
- All participants divided into two groups as 1) Foodies and 2) Bloggers. 1) Foodies Group: All OpenRice Members; 2) Bloggers Group: Members can apply into Bloggers Group during 9 – 26 September 2013 23:59:59 (Local time) with at least 200 food related reviews/ blog post in their personal blog, all application for participation will be reverted within 3 working days.
- All confirmed participants in Bloggers Group are not eligible to join the Foodies Group.
MECHANISM
- Approved review with food related photo(s) is 10 scores and Editor’s Choice review is extra 20 scores; dining experience-related video is extra 5 scores during the campaign period. Maximum 35 scores are for 1 review. Scores are not counted for non-reviews and related-reviews in the campaign.
- In Foodies Group, all winner(s) are selected based on two conditions as i) The highest scores at the end of the campaign ii) At least 20 approved reviews with photo(s) and 1 Editor’s Choice during the campaign period.
- In Bloggers Group, all winner(s) are selected based on two conditions as i) The highest scores at the end of the campaign ii) At least 50 approved reviews with photo(s) and 1 Editor’s Choice during the campaign period. If there are more than one participant who have the same scores, the winner will be selected by the number of Editor's Choice review(s) they get during the campaign period. If their numbers of Editor’s Choice are the same, they will be selected by their overall cumulative number of review(s) from their first join date as an OpenRice member.
- The last review(s) with photo(s) must be submitted no later than 23:59:59 on 6th Oct. 2013 (local time). Only approved review(s) with photo(s) will count as scores.
PRIZE
- Foodies Group has 1 winner (1 prize) at each region; Bloggers Group has 2 winner(s) (2 prize(s)) at each region.
- Each participant can only win one prize in the campaign. The total prize value is estimated on approximate retail value as USD 650 (3 days 2 nights hotel accommodation in Hong Kong, round-trip air ticket from winner region to Hong Kong). All taxes and carrier surcharges is not included.
PRIZE COLLECTION
- Campaign result will be announced on or before 15th October 2013.
- All winner(s) will be notified by email from OpenRice on or before 15th October 2013. OpenRice will contact all winner(s) via email when their prize(s) are ready for collection. Winner(s) is required confirm prize collection by email in OpenRice within 3 days after the campaign result announced. Failure to respond to the notification email and failure to redeem the prize(s) before the stipulated date will result in forfeiture of the prize(s).
- All prize(s) are non-transferable or nor exchangeable for cash. The organizer reserves the right to change prize(s) without notice.
- Prize collection must be made in person at the office of OpenRice Singapore, unless otherwise stated. Winner(s) must provide proof of identity and accurate information for notification and prize collection. All data collection will be used for contacting and verification purposes only. If the information provided is inaccurate, OpenRice reserves the right to forfeit the prize.
- The travel period is from 30th October 2013 to 1st November 2013.
- OpenRice shall not provide any compensation or claims if the winner(s) cannot travel to Hong Kong due to any personal reasons including but not limited to visa application, immigration issue.
- OpenRice shall not be responsible for any obligations and liabilities in relation to the products or services provided by the respective product or service provider(s).
- All winner(s) are responsible for all expenses regarding to this campaign, including but not limited to transportation, passport, visa, tax and insurance.
- OpenRice will not be responsible or liable for any total or partial data transmission failure or delay, distortion, error or omission, and the loss thereby incurred.
- OpenRice reserves the right to amend or cancel any of the above terms and conditions without prior notice. In case of dispute, OpenRice reserves the final decision rights.
- In the case of any dispute between the English language version of the terms and conditions and versions in other languages, the English language version shall prevail.
