De'Pop Culture
Dessert Pop Art Café in Bugis
Take a visual break away from minimalist cafes and hit up this vibrant-looking establishment on North Bridge Road. De' Pop Culture at Jalan Kledek is angling for the position of newest best-dressed themed café in town and you definitely see the effort. Heck, even the air conditioner got a pinkish-purple hue makeover.
The café comes across as a labour of love for the dating couple / owners. The homemade batter that features in the different desserts is testament to their love for baking. And for those who are hungry, a full all-day breakfast menu awaits - including signature dishes such as the De' Pop Breakfast Platter, and the quirkily-named Crab and the Dog.
Order this: Italian Sodas - Trust us. In the sweltering heat of Singapore, this refreshing beverage might very well taste like the elixir of life. It helps that the brilliant colours make for absolutely vivacious photos. Available in Kiwi, Passion Fruit, Red or Blue Raspberry.

Ben's Cookies
London's famed cookie chain opens in Wisma
Well known for "baking with chunks and not chips", the cookie chain founded way back in 1984 in Oxford, England has made its way to Singapore 20 years later, putting local fans out of their misery. The huge palm-sized cookies are characteristically soft and doughy - not hard and crunchy - with gooey centres come in standout flavours like Dark Chocolate Chunk, Milk Chocolate Orange, Cranberry and White Chocolate and Triple Chocolate.
Each cookie retails at $2.95 each, which stands a little pricey so we recommend sharing the love with your friends and opting for a box of 5 at $14.75 that gets you 2 free cookies.
