You must submit original reviews that represent your own dining experiences. All reviews found to be based on second-hand information or hearsay (for e.g. unverified information, photos from other sites, rumours, and reported opinions of others) will not be allowed. Some of the guidelines include (but not limited to the following)

• No use of foul language and obscene images
• No use of insulting, defamatory, misleading content
• No advertising and promotional messages
• No copyrighted materials
• No spamming
• No sexual, illegal, violent content and/or images
• No attacks on race or religion
• No spamming and harassment of OpenRice members
• No seditious comments
• No disparaging remarks about other OpenRicer’s comments
• No accusations of illegal activity, malpractice, health code violations (e.g. food poisoning)
• No abuse of restaurant owners and their staff. In the event of any doubts on whether there are any violations on this front; OpenRice reserves the right to make the final decision.
• A picture tells a thousand words, users are encouraged to include more photos to better share your dining experience for eg. door front, interior and food spread
• The reviews posted on OpenRice are individualistic and highly subjective opinions. The opinions expressed in these reviews are those of OpenRice members, and not that of the staff of OpenRice. We do not endorse any of the opinions expressed by reviewers.

OpenRice reserves the right to decide points allocation and also edit, remove or reject a review based on the quality of submission if our review committee deems it as inappropriate or does not help OpenRice community to have a good understanding of the establishment reviewed. OpenRice also reserves the right to suspend or ban any user accounts that are deemed to have violated our review guidelines or Terms of Service.

Reporting of reviews
In reporting suspicious reviews, a user is required to inform OpenRice by using the “Report this Review” feature located at the end of each review. As soon as we receive the complaint, we will then investigate the matter and will take proper action.
