Chef Gordon Ramsay in Search for Local Talent

Koh Han Jie from ITE College West crowned the winner of the Cook-Off

A total of 4 culinary students competed in a battle to become an intern at Gordon Ramsay’s soon-to-be-opened restaurant, Bread Street Kitchen, in Marina Bay Sands. With a task at hand to cook an egg perfectly in 3 different styles – Soft-Boiled, Poached and Omelette, contestants have 10 minutes to complete the challenge.

Koh Han Jie from ITE College West rose to the occasion to win the coveted intern position, beating his other competitors. He managed to impress Chef Ramsay and Marina Bay Sand’s Chief Executive Officer, George Tanasijevich, with his skills and personality. “Cooking is a passion, not a job.” said Ramsay during the press conference.

What to expect from Bread Street Kitchen For Gordon Ramsay’s upcoming restaurant, we can look forward to the same British-European menu as its counterparts – but with Singaporean flavours thrown in. The restaurant will also carry the same relaxed ambience and industrial warehouse design, with innovative cocktails served at a dynamic bar.
