All-You-Can-Eat Sichuan Noodles From 13th October to 12th December 2014, StraitsKitchen will be offering a lunch and dinner buffet where diners can enjoy the theatrical culinary art of hand-pulled and knife shaved noodles by chef Patrick Pan from Xi-an, China. Chef Patrick’s version of the Dan Dan Mian features the piquant and bold flavours of Sichuan cuisine, incorporating traditional Chinese herbs and spices to make the dishes fragrant. Using traditional La Mian (hand-pulled noodles); the dish will also include Sichuan dried red chilli oil, peppercorns, peanut paste and a serving of minced chicken.

Live Demonstrations by Chef Patrick Chef Patrick will also be demonstrating the skillful preparation of the Dao Xiao Mian (hand-shaved noodles).This spicy dish encompasses the traditional flavours of Sichuan, using ingredients such as star anise and cumin seeds, topped off with slices of Australian Beef Shank and assorted vegetables.
