It was a crowded Tuesday night at AMK Hub and we were getting sick of having foodcourt cuisine. Though we still went up to the top floor's Food Fare. We decided to take the last two seats at the inner table of this Teppanyaki joint. Their business was quite brisk, the service was also brisk.I had the chicken set with bean sprouts and vegetables. Rice and soup were included. Though it is not a high-end teppenyaki joint, you can still enjoy watching your food being cooked in front of your eyes right here in the heartlands. The end result was quite good, maybe because I wasn't expecting anything. But good is good. The chicken was tender and not half-cooked. The sauce was salty but perfect for the plain rice. Vegetables and bean sprouts were not overcooked as well~! Yummy! If my eyes served me well the other day on 20th July 2013, I saw that it is still open for business. continue reading

Had dinner at Express Teppan-Yaki. Ordered the teriyaki chicken. It is so fun to see your food being prepared in front of you! The teriyaki chicken was superb! The sauce was perhaps what made it so good. Neither too salty nor peppery. Just nice, just right, just enough to make it a satisfying lunch for you continue reading

We ordered a beef and a chicken set. And the meat is served with bean sprout and green vege. The sauce used are all the same, so only the meat that differs. The sauce is actually not bad, quite Asian taste. It was quite spicy too, if you cant take spicy things better don't order spicy. The bean sprout was okay, but I cant finish all of them because they are very spicy! Anyway the meat was not well cooked. Maybe the cooking time is too long already, so the meat was hard and not juicy. Maybe it's only this cook's problem, but i will not try this anymore. continue reading

Teppanyaki has always been one of my favourite food because you see the chef cook in front of you and the food is served to you sizzling hot. The portion of food is served in staggered order. First, the beansprout is served first and I must say that their beansprout is very well-cooked. It is very well-flavoured. One of my friend actually grew in love with beansprouts after tasting them at one teppanyaki stall. Next to be served was the lamb and it was cooked with black pepper source. It was already spicy enough so if you cannot take spiciness tell the chef not to add chilli. The lamb is tender and succulent. Lastly, the cai xin is served. Generally, I think this is a very nice meal but I think the portions of serving is a little small. continue reading
