Signature Dishes
I was deciding between Ananas Café or Café Lobby to take away my chicken rice. Since I tried Ananas before, I decided to give Café Lobby a try. Apparently their chicken rice cost 50 cents more than Ananas Café. It cost $2 which was pretty cheap if you compare to those food court pricing. I thought there would be something more but actually it was the same as Ananas Café. The portion of the chicken rice was just right. The chicken meat was tender. The rice was not too oily. The lady even drizzle some gravy on the rice so it will not be too dry. The chilli sauce was not too spicy as well, it went well with the chicken rice. initially I thought the 50 cents difference was how they packed the food, but they used the same paper wrapping as Ananas Café. Nevertheless, for the price you pay here, you can actually eat two packets if you were to compare it with food court ones.

I wanted a light lunch after a heavy breakfast so I ordered a packet of chicken rice from The Cafe Lobby. For just two dollars (excluding the egg), the portion of chicken and rice was reasonable. The rice was quite fragrant but I should have asked for more sauce over the chicken because it was a little too dry.
