This is one of our family favourite dish from this chinese restaurant. Unlike the usual chilli crabs or even the black pepper crab, this version here is much more moist in texture and the really fragrant creamy gravy used in this dish certainly is very appetitizing and goes very well with the crabs. The crab meats in this dish are also very fragrant and juicy too. Dip the fried bun in the gravy is definitely tasty as well. continue reading

This Chinese restaurant is quite spacious and great for family gathering. I have tried their sesame chicken during one of my friend's father birthday celebration there. The chicken meat is very tender and juicy and the chicken skin is very soft and chewy, which the entire dish may look very simple but the taste is extremely great! Great to have it on its own or you may want to order their fragrant plain rice to go along with it also very delicious too! continue reading

Located in the neighbourhood of Bukit Panjang, Seafood Paradise restaurant is indeed a good place for family dinner. I guess that's the reason why it's always fully booked during weekends. The deep-fried tofu is very appetizing. Crispy outside but soft inside, the tofu dish comes in Thai's sweet and sour sauce, yummyFor the fish, you can choose the type of fish, and how you want it to cook. If you are not sure which cooking style suits a particular type of fish, just ask the waitress. They are so willing to help or recommend, patiently. We ordered teochew styled steamed fish. The sourness of the plum and preserved vege is just right, but I find that the fish is a bit over-cooked.The 苋菜 in salted egg yolks and century eggs is my favourite dish of the night. The eggy sauce is so rich, and nice to go with white rice! Scallops and asparagus in egg white tastes ordinary, but the scallops are quite big in size, worth the money hey! I didn't have photo on poached live prawns here, as the waitress actually separate the drunken prawns in herbal soup into a small bowl for everyone of us. I would say it's a must try dish of the restaurant. The prawns are very fresh! The herbal soup with a dash of rice wine tastes really good, and I didn't feel thirsty after drinking it.Overall speaking, this restaurant serves descent good food, and they are famous for the crab dishes too (though we didn't order any). Give it a try, you might like it. continue reading

I was here on a weekday for lunch and the entire restaurant was pretty empty, only a few tables were taken. There was a promotion on the fish head curry and we undoubtedly ordered that. It was served on a portable stove to keep it boiling and warm. The fish was very fresh and has the full flavor of the curry. The fragrance of the curry kept me wanting for more. It was not too spicy too. Although it was on promotion, the portion was not downsized at all. It was definitely very fulfilling. continue reading
