I heard about the popular Wanton Noodle in Alexandar Village Food Centre and decided to give it a try. Waited almost 20 minutes in the queue on a sunday afternoon just to grab them over lunch.Ordered a version of dumplings noodles in chilli. Noodles that Kai Kee used was different from the usual ones we had for fishball noodles. They were springy and feels more "powdery". Portion of noodles given was generous for both plates. The lacking part I find about the plates was that it was very oily by the sides and make it difficult for us to hold them. Dumplings was packed with chestnuts and minced meat, crunchy enough. However, i can still taste the flour of the wanton noodle which is not to my liking.Cost: S$2.50Opted for the non spicy verison of Wanton Noodle, the amount of dumplings given was quite alot, as well as the slices of char siew meat. Cost: S$3.00The soup that comes along with the dishes was too peppery for my liking. Overall, for the amount paid to its portion, it is definitely worth the money. continue reading

The FoodI ordered a plate of Wanton Mee served with generous portion. The noodles is very tasty and the texture of the noodle is just nice, soft and springy. The chilli sauce is superb as it not only enhanced the flavour of the Wanton Mee but it's the main element that made this dish so tasty. The char siew is lean and does not have any layer of fats and the wanton is also filled with small chunks of minced pork to give it that wholesome taste. The PriceDefinitely value for money priced at $2.50 with generous portionOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this! continue reading

Located at the last row of the market, business seems to be brisk for this stall. The uncle was very helpful to ask me to get a seat first and he will serve the food to me. For $2.50, it's a big plate of noodle with decent serving of the shredded chicken, mushroom and vegetable on top. Noodle is springy and the sauce is nice. The chili sauce makes it a bit oily though. continue reading
