This is actually tomato duck which is I don't know why I got so many like on Instagram, because i don't think it looks appealing to me. On the other hand, it didn't taste really nice. The duck meat does not go well with the tomato sauce and the tomato sauce taste so weird. It is not the normal brand that my parents bought, so I didn't really like it. It come with a bowl of rice and cost $6.80 in total. It slightly expensive in ntu but once you think that you didn't have to queue for food, it is quite worth that price. continue reading

Besides serving out their wonder hotpot sets, this restaurant also whips out pretty decent claypot rice too! I had their chicken claypot rice which was served piping hot with lots (about 5) chicken wings, vegetables, salted fish and lap cheong. The rice was really fragrant and you are also given black sauce to add on your own. So you can adjust how much black sauce you want in your rice to your liking! continue reading

While at NTU to settle my child's university stuff, I chance upon this cafe and decided to have my lunch here with my son. I thought it the food would be priced more highly here, but I was surprised to see that it is actually quite reasonable given its environment. The noodles and rice are around $5 and the steamboat which I ordered cost $6.80. There are five choices of soup base for the steamboat and I went for the tom yum soup base. There are mushrooms, prawns, some fish slices and fish cakes in the soup which are all fresh and tasty when paired with the appetising tom yum soup base. Overall, I felt it was quite value for money and definitely worth a second trip back. continue reading

I went to try out the mini steamboat at ntu executive café after hearing my friends rave about it. there were five different soup base to choose from, laksa, tom yum, mala, mso and superior soup. I chose the superior flavor with seafood. when it arrived, the sou tasted with strong wine taste. it goes really well with the seafood. there were many fried fish slices in the pot. The seafood such as the prawns were very fresh. There was a lot of vegetables as well. to my surprise, I found a scallop inside too. it was really good, very tasty and suitable on those cold rainy days. continue reading

This Tom yum mini hotpot is very very delicious! It comes with a bowl of rice too. I ordered the Seafood tom yum mini hotpot and it's definitely worthy of the price paid for. There are prawns, vegetables, tofu, mushrooms, fish slices as well as a scallop which are all very tasty. The soup itself is not too hot and goes well with the rice. The environment is nice and suitable for chilling. The service is acceptable too. continue reading
