My sis was introduced by her colleague and she told me about this Zi Char place that serve delicious crabs with affordable price which I will definitely be back!Must try: Salted Egg Crab!We ordered 1 and a half crab @ $65.The Chili Crab is not bad as well, but all 5 of us prefer the Salted Egg Crab – the best of the best!The crab meat is very fresh and it is just finger licking good. The crab shell is easy to remove and even my mum don’t find it difficult.Other dishesrawn Paste Chicken Wing $10 – very additive and crispy.Kang Kong $8 – Of the right spiciness and crunchy.Hotplate Beancurd $10 – I found this dish average after being “wow” by the other dishes.A very impressive dinner for 5 @ $95.50! Super ‘like’!*Be sure to reach before 6pm, or you will have to be patient. Parking is a hazard on weekends!

The zi char place here is popular with those living in the Woodlands area. During weekends, it's best to call earlier to book a table as the place gets really busy. We booked a table for six at 6 pm and the place was full when we reached there. We had to wait for half an hour before our food starts arriving. Most dishes tasted alright, I guess the main drawing point of this place is the low cost. Btw, apologies for some of the blurred pictures. Had to take them in a haste before the hungry diners pounced on them.- Broccoli with mushroomsTasted normal.- Watercress soup with pork ribsTasted a bit salty, think a bit too much soya sauce was added. Plenty of pork ribs given though.- Pork ribs king (排骨王)Drizzled with a sweet and sour sauce, meat was quite tender.- Sambal kang kongTasted normal.- Hotplate TofuTasted normal.- Hotplate black pepper venisonCame a bit charred for the venison. Has not encountered this for the numerous times I've eaten at this place before. Possibly chef has overcooked the dish due to the large crowd.An ok place to try if you want a simple affordable zi char meal.
