This tiny cozy little eatery doesn't have too much seats in it, hence always crowded especially during lunch hours. Looking at the name of the place, one would know that it serves almost anything to do with Ocha (Japanese tea). They have promotion during lunch hours, where you order any soba, you get to buy the selected drinks for only $2. I ordered the Chasoba ($7.50), it actually served cold. However, the taste is creamily good, and feels great when eat it on a hot afternoon. The soba is made from green tea, very refreshing flavour, and it's served with lots of ingredients including cherry tonatoes, seaweeds, heaps of sesames, and topped with crispy dried shrimps. It tastes light and healthy. OchaSilk ($2) is basically a hot green tea with soy milk. It's silky smooth, the flavours of green tea and soybean are well-balanced. Overall speaking, it's a simple healthy lunch that I'm sure most of the ladies will love. continue reading

I always love the flavour of green tea and Ochacha makes the right place to be at. They serve really great green tea latte and cakes. I ordered the green tea with red beans cake. It is a great combination filled with the cream and sponge cake layers. It costs $5.90 for the cake which tasted delicious and fresh. continue reading

After shopping around, we decided to grab some food for dinner. We decided to ordered Wasabi Tuna, Chasoba, Ocha Frappe and Azuki Frappe. The food look tempting when we received the food. The wasabi tuna was great. The tuna was fresh and I can tasted the wasabi flavor. They were very generous for the tuna. The bread was soft in texture and it goes well with the tuna. The salad and potato chips was normal. The chasoba was special and was cold, I never had this chasoba anywhere. The soba was chewy and not soggy at all. The taste was not overly salty, its like mixed with other sauce. The portion was not huge and served in unique bowl. Other than that, the ocha frappe was not bad. The tea was very aromatic. It was not too sweet but very refreshing. Last but not least, the azuki frappe was awesome. This is another ocha version with milk and red bean. The tea was very aromatic and quite thick yet very smooth. I can tasted the red bean bite. Overall, the food was good. continue reading
