Its been a while since I last met up with my ex-colleague cum buddies over for a dinner and chat up on recent activities so we took this chance to meet up with each other over at Lavender Food Square (Or some called it “Eminent Food Centre”) which one of them want to introduce to me the food being sold there. We took public transport (MRT) to Lavender MRT station before walking about 10 to 15 minutes to reach our destination. This place looks a lot like Lau Pa Sat located in the CBD area and there are quite a lot of people visiting this place too.Chong Pang Huat stall which sell Chicken wings and satay over at this place is one of the recommended stall by 2 of my friends but to me, it is good but not good enough as I still think the ones I had eaten over at Jurong East still taste much better than this stall. The chicken wings are not evenly barbeque to nice color while the skin looks a bit old. The meat are a bit dry and not really juice type. The satay taste better as the meat is quite tender with some parts being burned. (It should be meant to be this way too). The sauce are given using a small bowl and you can request for more if you order a lot of satay from the stall. We bought some dim sum from the Ju Hao stall and they really give a lot of pieces in one single order. We are quite surprise that there are so many and is quite full after having these in our stomach. The meat in it is very juicy but I think the skin of the Xiao Long Bao is a bit too thick (Maybe they scare the juice will leak out?) and not really that great. They bought some poh piah too which I think is quite nice (Not great) as I had eaten a better ones out there. It is still good for dinner to fill up your stomach if you want. continue reading

I ordered a glass of rock melon fruit juice from this drink stall at Lavender Food Square New Century Food Paradise. There are a wide selection of various types of fruit juices to pick from the signboard.Since they ran out of my favourite Dragon Fruit drink, I opted for the Rock Melon Juice.Served in a long glass with just the right amount of crushed ice, the rock melon juice taste very refreshing. At the bottom of the drink, I could taste the tiny piece of the pulps of the extracted rock melon. They may have used a juice presso. Cold pressed juices capture and preserve all the enzymes, minerals and vitamins from the fruit.Their fruits juices ranges from S$2.00 to S$4.50I paid S$3.50 for this glass of rock melon fruit juice. A great thirst quencher with cooling properties that helps to alleviate body heat. continue reading
