To those who are over the bingsu and soft serve craze, we present to you the next dessert obsession to hit our shores – Ice Cream Rolls. What used to be a street food you could only savour in Thailand, is now slowly but surely gaining traction amongst Singaporeans, especially since the recent Ramadan Bazaar. Here's a handful of five places where you can get a hold of some drool-worthy ice cream rolls. Thankfully, they’re pretty spread out around the island so you have no reason not to stop by and give them a try.

1. Happy Rollies

After gaining fame from its first stint at Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar, Happy Rollies continues its pop-ups in other pasar malams around the island with new-turned-regular customers tagging along. Try their newest flavours: Kinder Bueno and Thai Milk Tea, or go for popular combinations like Nutella with Banana and Oreo with Strawberry. Catch them at the Jurong East bazaar till 31 Aug, before they hit up the Serangoon Central and Toa Payoh Central night markets next. We hear a physical store at The Hive in NTU is in the works! 2. Go Frost

Previously housed in Wednesday Café, Go Frost now operates from a pushcart next to Al-Azhar Coffeeshop in Tampines. Local flavour combinations like Teh Tarik Milo, Bandung and Golden Horlicks aside, they also whip up Salted Caramel Frostrolls (as they call it) – made with a salted caramel base topped with biscuit crumbs. Each cup is priced between $4 to $5, depending on your chosen flavour and topping. Got a wedding or birthday party coming up? They’ll roll right along and cater for your event too. Here, the pan-fried ice cream comes in flavours like matcha, yogurt and yakult. Mixers come in a whopping 20 variations – choose 1 for $4.90, 2 for $5.40 – for your customized combination. You won’t go wrong with a vanilla base topped with bits of Kinder Bueno and swirls of Nutella sauce. 21 CUBE Artisan Ice Cream, 2 Orchard Link #02-29, Singapore 237978 (Image: OpenSnap user siewnah03)

4. COyOrO

To the northerners, no one is leaving you out of this. COyOrO – short for Cool Yogurt Roll – is a haven for anyone in search for a cold treat. For refreshing flavours at its best, get the CoCoroyo, a creamy coconut flavoured combination of ice cream and yogurt best topped with cranberries or peanuts, or the Tropicalm that features a tropical fruit mix of kiwi and mangoes. Your order might come served in a coconut husk, depending on which you choose. Note: Second outlet located in East Village, Upper Changi.
