Drinker? Yes.Sucker for a majestic view? Yes.A chillax and pampering evening? Yes.If you haven’t already know of 1-Altitude, where have you been?1-Altitude is a famed rooftop bar located at One Raffles Place. It is conveniently equipped with a 360 degrees panoramic view atop Level 63, boasting the title of the ‘world’s highest alfresco bar’ it has under its belt. You can only imagine, shooting so high up on the sky, at a strategic location. Then it just has to get better with it going topless.I was kindly invited to its 3rd Anniversary Party, very aptly themed Fans’ Choice Award. It’s all about Hollywood and being the best-dressed (in many ways) during the party. I interpret ‘Fans’ Choice’ here as both a fans’ choice location for a laid-back evening, and a ‘pageant competition’ based on fans’ choice. It was much focused on each and every one of the patrons. We were the kings that night.I was impressed by its simple yet communicative decorations put up. It was a themed party, yet not pressurizing for patrons who were just there to soak in the atmosphere. Nevertheless, I appreciate the dressing of the people aboard the roof – smart casual – some with suits, but with elegant gowns. It was a sight not only because of the Singapore’s CBD area, but also because of the diners.Get a drink at the bar area (elevator level), with cocktails running from $18 – $28 nett, and martinis at an affordable $18 nett. If you’re more of a wine person, white wine and red wine are served at around $18 nett. Moët et Chandon is also available from $30 nett per glass onwards. Go bubbly, an easygoing and celebratory (whether or not the occasion calls for it) drink. For serious whiskey drinkers, you are in for a treat as they are readied with a whole, wide range of whiskey from America, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Japan, you name it, starting from about $18nett per glass. Beers are at $16 – $18 nett in general (and $60 nett a bucket). I thought for a location and ambience like this, these drinks are priced more than generously.Grab your drink, and feel free to walk around the circular top, enjoying the view from every single angle. I did. Snatch a seat when you get tired, and order some pizza (12-inch) off the menu. They range from about $20 – $22++, and a couple of platters in the $20s – $30s++.If you get lucky these few Saturdays, your cover charge includes free fireworks show as well! So now, you know where to get a seat on the roof, eh.Cover Charge: $25 nett (including 1 housepour) (Sun – Thurs / Fri, Sat, Eve of PH from 6pm – 9pm); $30 nett (including 1 housepour) (Fri, Sat, Eve of PH from 9pm onwards); Free-of-charge if dining at Stellar @ 1-Altitude (both before & after dinner).Dress Code: Smart CasualAge Limit (After 10pm): 21 year-old (females), 25 year-old (males)

It was a Wednesday night when I went 1-altitude and each lady are entitled to complimentary drinks. The view from the club is simply heavenly. You can have a beautiful night view of Singapore. I have chosen the lime and vodka for my complimentary drink. The alcohol contents more than the lime, I drank it too quickly and could sense some giddiness.

If you desire to have a place that has a good view of Singapore then this place is definitely for you! The food is not that fantastic, especially when it is a fine-dining restaurant, perhaps because we went for some corporate event on a weekday instead. There is a lot of privacy, the service is quite good and the people are rather friendly. Dining above normal ground level is definitely something you would want to experience! The desserts are the only food that i could appreciate, the rest are so-so.

We came here for a round of drinks after supper. We did not make reservations in advance but thankfully managed to get seats. Our first round was of jagger bombs which is pretty much everybody's favorite. Service wise, I think the staff do a pretty good job with regard to serving drinks promptly and cater to really good customer service. They have also got bouncers around to look out for trouble makers. Overall, it was a great experience and an amazing view from the top!

Setting - on the 63rd floor. Open air roof top. Surprisingly small, cramped place. Rather squashy and not much elbow room. Blaring music to make you deaf. Not much seats to sit either. Nice viewing deck turned into a drinking spot. Great 360 degree views. Easy to get up there.Value - there's an $18 cover charge for 1 standard drink and $20 for 1 premium drink. Plus you get to ride up there and see the view. At Marina Bay Sands, it also costs about $20 just to get up to the 57th floor viewing deck area. Overpriced here since I am pregnant and cannot drink any alcoholic drink - that means a juice or water costs me $18? The roof top is about 1/100th the size of the Marina Bay Sands roof top - it should really be free or cost less to get up there! Not to mention the poor quality of clientele here. Not much value here.Service - polite, professional, clinical. Not much warmth or joy. Everyone is quite serious and while polite, rather stiff. Very helpful staff. Nothing much to complain.Drink - Nothing to rave or even talk about. Standard alcoholic drinks and water and juice. Must be cheap for Singaporeans because the only people getting s*#@-faced and very drunk are the locals. Rather deplorable conduct displayed by the locals who were falling everywhere and grabbing people randomly as they flopped and flailed and staggered around, all drunk and acting nonsensical, attempting to jiggy but looking really clownish. Really lowers the class of the joint. More suitable for just drinking and chatting rather than dancing! There's not much room to begin with!Recommended for the view only. Not drinks or food or even ambience.
