Just have my lunch here at this popular buffet restaurant here at Plaza Singapura. The waitress and waiters here are quite prompt in clearing the plates and utensils from the tables and the restaurant is quite big and spacious, cooling as well. For less than $40 per adult, is still charged quite reasonable. Enjoyed having their cold prawns and scallops. THey are very fresh and chewy, with no stingy smell in it. The stired fried pepper prawns are also delicious, which is flavo...

1 Market is a halal buffet restaurant opened by the famous Chef Wan, which attracted a lot of media and hype when it first opened! I met up with two of my friends to try the lunch buffet here ^^ The first stop I went for is the Japanese section! I love sashimi which I happily spam those on my plate! The soba noodles are not bad! Some of the food from the Thai, Viet and Indo sections. The charcoal black pepper prawns are a must-try! After sometime, I realize they have...

My friend has treated me the lunch buffet here at 1 Market. The restaurant was really cooling and seats were comfortable as well. Lots of Asian cruisines can be found on their buffet spread. I particularly enjoyed eating their raw salmon, which is really fresh and chewy. The stir fried bitter gourd is very crunchy and not too oiy as well. The fresh cold prawns are also crunchy and delicious. Service was good and according to my friend, the price is reasonable as well, which is le...

The buffet serves food from Indonesian, Thailand, Vietnam, Japanese and local cuisines. There are about 10 stations, prominent ones are the barbeque meats, laksa, popiah, and rojak stations. There's a lot of variety available at 1 Market. Sadly, there's quantity but no quality. To cite a few examples, the sashimi (salmon, tuna, octopus) didn't taste fresh. Also, chicken in dishes such as the Thai green curry were super tough. 1 Market is definitely not a buffet tha...

1 Market is Malaysia Number 1 Celebrity Chef, Chef Wan first foray in Singapore restaurant scene. Located in Plaza Singapura, this place opened with much fan fare and publicity in Singapore and across the Causeway. This buffet restaurant is filled to the brim everyday, so if you never make a reservation, your chance of getting a table is very slim. Reviews on this establishment on food review websites has not been positive, however it did not stop me from suggesting this ...

I really do not have much to say about this place except that its opened by the famous Chef Wan. They have alot of variety but sadly most of the food are below average to average. The sashimi didn't taste fresh, the cooked dishes were mediocre , the desserts were not impressive at all - forgettable. Service was far from good, epic failure during the times they were trying to contain the crowd - they seem lost and didn't know what to do. Paid close to $50 per pax for a dinner serv...

There isn't many halal buffet around and we are quick sick of going carousal everytime for our gathering (there are muslim friends in the group), so when 1 market open it's door at the new extension of Plaza Singapura, the whole lot of us decided to give it try. It was quite difficult to get a table (there's around 6 of us) so we waited quite a bit during dinner hour. Anyway, I have this habit of walking around the buffet spread before "tackling" the food, so after one round at...

If I had a hand phone which can take good pix, I would've taken photos of every dish this place has! Opened by Malaysian-born and internationally renowned Chef Wan, this buffet spread has an ecclectic blend of spice vs fusion cooking. From Rojak to sashimi right down to crispy fresh fish keropok, you probably wouldn't know where to start. Recommended dishes would be the Hokkien noodles with generous servings of sambal belachan, grilled seafood, and the Mee Siam. My favorite...

This is a halal restaurant which my colleagues have been wanting to visit since it opens. Finally we have planned a day to try their buffet lunch. The variety was quite wide but I do not really feel that quality can be found in most of the food served here. The crab soup was sort of 'cold' and was not really feel with the natural sweetness from the crabs, but instead is fill with the vegetable flavour in it. The fried sweet potato is quite crispy but abit too oily.

Great service and great buffet spread of asian and japanese dishes. For the price paid, I think its giving some other buffets, a run for their money! The price included food and a variety of soft drinks and quality range of teas! The desserts available is very international. I was particularly satisfied with the Mochi dessert. What I like very much is that there is a small card placed on each table reminding diners to not waste food!! It's written in a very subtle manner. Whi...
