Signature Dishes
Bedok Food Centre is a nice peaceful corner with occasional crowds that drive all the way here to eat. We ordered the Steam White Chicken Rice and our order came really fast. The chicken was fat, tender and mouthwatering, but a little too much sesame oil drizzled over the chicken causing it to be too oily for my liking. The rice was dry and not fragrant at all.

I did not realise that TFF is a short for Tong Fong Fatt, only realised it when i was about to write this review. I am quite a fan of chicken rice from Tong Fong Fatt but i always have the impression that they only served white chicken and not the roasted one. There is a line in bracket on their signboard stating 'managed by Tong Fong Fatt'. I wonder is this stall an outlet of Tong Fong Fatt or a franchise one?I was given the option of ordering a $2.50 or $3.50 portion, i wanted a $3.50 portion and made a request for the thigh part. The portion for $3.50 was pretty little, the roasted chicken tasted pretty average. If i happen to be here again then i would rather go for their white chicken, hopefully the standard is as good as the other stalls of Tong Fong Fatt. The chicken broth taste was rather mild for the rice but the texture was good. Their ginger sauce was pretty watery thus a disappointment but the chilli was pretty nice with a certain level of spiciness. Though this is not amongst the best plates of chicken rice i had but still, i would think the standard for this particulate plate of chicken rice should be slightly above average. Recommended.
