mee hoon kuay with clams $4 or $4.50? - portion is very little but I love how the soup is flavourful and the chilli is spicy and yummy! Recently, somehow the chilli isn't as spicy as before though. The luncheon meat $3 and beancurd skin $1(?) are deep-fried and are crispy and yummy, especially the crispy beancurd although it may be a little oily. Overall, it's a satisfying meal continue reading

Popular for their Home Made Noodles, it is usually crowded during the lunch hours. They have different types of Ban Mian to choose from, such as the sliced fish, pork meat, prawn or the abalone clams. Their noodles taste good with the chilli (spicy hot). continue reading

Headed to city plaza for some shopping and decided to try this ban mian at the food court as i always heard about how good it is. When we reached the food court, the first thing that I saw is those mini cockroach on eating table. I gotta say i have some expectation for this ban mian and it really disappoint me. The noodles were hard and not chewy. Only a few pieces of "bao bei" (mini abalone) is given. The entire bowl is mainly made up of hard noodles and a lot of vegetable. The only good thing is the soup, which is tasty and nice to drink. If not for the soup, I might have stop eating halfway. continue reading

The stall is located at City Plaza food court level 5. Offers wide variety of noodles (yu mian, ban mian, mee hoon kway, etc..)Not only that, they do have many selections of different types of ingredients you want.(normal, abalone clam, prawns, fish etc..)The broth is very tasty and is served with wolfberry leaves which I don't see it in other stalls.Don't forget about the spicy chilli that they have. Is literally fire-burning and if you could purchase the chilli over at the counter which cost about $3.00. Abalone Clam Ban Mian On top of that, you could also order some side snacks (deep fried beancurb and luncheon meat) Fried Beancurb & Luncheon Meat Besides that, we have also ordered 2 more dishes at the Thai stall which is next to the ban mian. Mango salad Thai Vermicelli continue reading

It was my first time going City Plaza last night. We went there to hunt for Chinese New Year clothes. There was the only hawker centre at 4th floor. Located near Paya Lebar MRT, take Exit D to the destination. There was no empty seat upon we reached the stall. I saw many number plates given by this Ban Mian stall on the tables. It proved that the business is really good.Take around half-an-hour for a bowl of Ban Mian. I ordered Dory Fish Ban Mian. Not bad, the soup was just nice. Noodle was tender and the fish was fresh. Price was fair, $3.00 per bowl. Yet, the portion might not be enough for big-eater. continue reading
