I have been to many stalls selling oyster omelette around Singapore. In my opinion, this is the best oyster omelette that I have had.The stall owner has been plying his trade for years and the experience shows in the final product – the oyster omelette that you eat!You can order:- Oyster Omelette: $4/ $5/ $8- Oyster and Prawn Omelette – I only knew they had this at my last visit. The oyster omelette is crispy and the oysters are well fried. Dipped in the chilli sauce,Unfortunately, the stall owner does not allow you to order more oysters in your dish, even if you are prepared to pay more. The only way is to order the larger portion and thus you get more oyster and omelette! The stall only opens from 2pm on weekends and 3pm on weekdays. They usually sell out by about 7pm. Go early to avoid disappointment!Although I loved this dish very much, I always have a word of caution to myself: Eat in moderation!Highly-Recommended! continue reading

had craving for oyster omelette and hence decided to try out this stall that my friend recommended. had to wait about 20min for my order even though it is in the late afternoon and the market was rather quiet. i think there were quite a few takeaway orders. we ordered the small size which cost 4 bucks. the serving was quite small and in bits and pieces instead of complete pieces. it tasted average and i find it too salty. overall we were quite disappointed and and find it overrated. continue reading

The FoodI ordered a large plate of Fried Oyster Omelette. The Omelette has a thin texture that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The eggs and their homemade chilli sauce that is fried with the oysters and batter makes the dish taste perfect! The usual chilli sauce that is served separately with the Fried Oyster Omelette gives it a sourish taste when dipped in it hence making the dish even more mouth watering. The PriceReasonably priced at $5 with decent portion!OverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this! continue reading

My all time favourite hawker food is Oyster Omelette. And the best oyster omelette you can find in Singapore is located here at Toa Payoh Lorong 7. In my book, there is no other oyster omelette in Singapore that even comes remotely close to it. Manned by the friendly husband and wife owners, they make oyster omelette perfection. Firstly, it is not oily despite the crispy bits of starch and egg. The worst kind of oyster omelette is the soggy and starchy kind. No problems with that here. The balance between crispy and starch is just nice. The starchy bits are chewy without being gooey. They also use a generous amount of eggs to give the omelette a very good texture. The chilli is also just right, not too spicy with just enough sourness to cut through the oil. But the créme de la résistance of course is the oysters. They top the omelette with a generous helping of big, fresh and juicy oysters that just makes the dish perfect. They are closed on Tuesday and opened from 3-9pm daily although they are normally sold out by 8pm. My personal guarantee that once you try it, you wont want to eat oyster omelette elsewhere. continue reading

This stall is strongly recommended by a good friend. I made an effort to come here to try it. I was amazed by its high standard. This is indeed one of the better fried oysters in Singapore. The portion was generous as compared to the other famous stall at Whampoa Food Centre. It came with many more fresh tasting oysters and though these oysters were of medium sized but quite meaty. It was nicely fried with egg to give it a nice crispiness. It was garnished with coriander when served. continue reading
