Roti prata may make good, if not fattening, breakfast food, but they are also great for lunch! The Indian Muslim stall at this coffee shop has the standard plain and egg roti prata as well as others like cheese prata, but when it comes to my prata, I prefer them plain or with egg!Roti Prata Plain ($0.90)This was made on the spot so there was a slight waiting time for it. However, the prata was not as crispy as I'd have liked it to be but it was rather chewy. I like that this wasn't too oily like some prata I've tried before. At $0.90 though, this was quite reasonable for a plain prata.Roti Prata with Egg ($1.50)At an additional $0.60 for an egg, this was much bigger and more filling than the plain prata. Like the plain prata, this was chewy too. The fish curry that came with the pratas was slightly watery but otherwise spicy enough, although I am not really that much of a fan of curry in general to begin with. Overall, I found this to be quite okay, although I'd have liked it better if both prata were slightly more crispier. This is a self-service stall so do expect a short waiting time for the prata to be made especially during peak hours. continue reading
