Not today though, so we went ahead and ordered a few dishes. Their mixed vegetable dishes are not bad, they have a comforting homestyled feel to them. the economy rice here is very good. especially when you catch it as it is just cooked. hot and fresh. the rice is fragrant and there are lots of dishes to choose from. while it is oily, it is not as oily as many places. the vegetables are crunchy and overall it is also not as salty as other places. the price is reasonable too. the cabbage dish is really good and flavourful. you can choose to have curry sauce poured on before serving. the green vegetables are fresh and not bitter. about $3 if there is no meat chosen continue reading

my favourite mixed rice stall in singapore. best price and best food! the generous portions are great. and the rice is cooked perfectly. all their vegetables and meat taste great and i haven't tried anything bad yet. i loved their "mei cai" and their bean curdy things. their tofu dishes are very good too. and their various chicken dishes are great too. highly recommended. service is fast and efficient. even the takeaway portions are very generous. a bit oily sometimes but most times, it's almost perfect. continue reading
