I used to live nearby and Ameen is our favourite supper place. Almost every time I will order Maggie Goreng Seafood Pattaya (No Sauce). I don't like the extra ketchup on top of the egg thus the "No Sauce". Another dish that I like is the Fish Platter. It's a bit more costly (around $15) but the way they grill the fish is really awesome! They come in different color and taste - super yummy!! If you are up for a big meal - try their Mix Grill as well. Enjoy the spectacular jumping sauce as it is poured over the hot plate. Sizzling greatness! continue reading

The FoodFeeling hungry late at night, I decided to try Indian food as they are opened till very late at night. I ordered the Butter Naan and Cheese Naan and butter chicken curry.I like the Butter Naan as have a nice buttery taste, not oily, slightly crispy and fluffy. As for the Cheese Naan, the cheese flavor not so strong hence just nice.As for the buttery chicken, it is not too spicy and have a rich butter taste. Chicken meat also tender and nice too.The ServiceAs I went on weekdays night hence is not so crowded because normally weekend night will be crowded. Service is quite good also as the food are served promptly. The AmbienceThe shop not as big space and seating tend to be cramped with more people but still acceptableThe PriceReasonably priced at $1.50 for their Butter Naan, $3 for the Cheese Naan and $7 for the butter chicken.OverallI will definitely come back again for late night supper with my friends and highly recommended to try this! continue reading

Ameen Makan House is one of the must go places to go for NUS students who want to go a late night snack or an affordable meal while studying late in school since it offers a range of affordable Halal food. I always go for the omelette wrapped rice since I believe that it can be more filling but this time round I decided to go for a range and decided to order the omelette wrapped noodles. I really love the presentation of the omelette wrapped dishes in this eatery, the rice/noodles are wrapped nicely beneath a thin layer of nicely fried egg. However compared to the fried rice version, this noodles is a tad too sweet for me but other-than that it is a filling meal for me. At around $5 dollars for a meal, this is definitely the place to go to for an affordable yet filling meal continue reading

This plate of pattaya or rather omelette fried rice is quite a large serving and is served piping hot! The omelette is well fried and covers the fried rice nicely. The fried rice is stir fried with seafood such as prawns, sotong and bits of vegetables. Tomato sauce is poured over the omelette. The omelette is not too salty but the fried rice was slightly too salty for me. The serving is large and can be shared with a friend and quite a filling meal! Overall quite worth the price as the portion served is quite large continue reading

This restaurant is great for having late night suppers or dinner. They have quite a wide variety of Indian muslim Food from pratas to naans and mee goreng. I had their fried kway teow in omelette egg dish that day for five dollars. It was quite an enormous piece of egg with a generous amount of kway teow and seafood wrapped inside. You have a choice of seafood/ beef/ chicken for your meat. They served prawns and sotong which were really succulent. I enjoyed the meal because the kway teow was not too oily too!
