This is a great place for young people to gather. The food is affordable, pastas are less than $15 if I recall correctly. There is also a special menu for meals under 600 calories for the more health conscious diners.I liked the variety of appetisers. We tried the spinach dip, fried calamari, boneless wings in bbq and buffalo wings, mozerella sticks, chicken wanton tacos, and nachos. I liked the chicken wanton tacos the most. For $21, you can have three trio sized appetisers, which is really worth it since the portion is reasonably large. The tacos are served in threes, the buffalo wings are like about 5 pieces etc.For the main I had shrimp and parmesan sirloin. It was really good, for 7oz it costs $19. I would recommend this because the mashed potato portion is huge and for shrimps and sirloin, $19 is a good price. For drinks, I had raspberry lemonade, it was good too, not too sweet and for $4, you have free refills, so Why not?(; continue reading

This restaurant offers a variety of options to diners at affordable prices, with most of its main courses at below 20 dollars. I tried the sampler appetisers which was more than enough for two people and we especially loved the chicken wanton tacos which were very flavorful. We also had the raspberry lemonade that was highly addictive, no idea how it gets nicer everytime we sipped.I ordered the zesty roma chicken and shrimp and loved how the sides of roma tomatoes, mushrooms and peppers went particularly well the the chicken and shrimp. Chicken was also tender and juicy and shrimps were tasty as well. The mashed potato made the dish very filling too. Staff were also attentive and friendly. Had a great time there all in all. continue reading

It was a wednesday night , the atmospheres was chill and laid back, great for a tiring day at work. The serving time for the food was quick, 5 mins for the appetisers and 15 minutes for the main course. Price wise it was very affordable, at below 40 for a full course appetisers , main course as well as a drink. The protions given were hefty. The Appetizer Sampler was extremely delightful and thus we were spoilt for choice. For me the must trys would be the Spinach & artichoke dip with chips and the Chicken Wanton Tacos! My main course was Napa chicken and portobellos. The chicken was scullent and flavourful , paired with the juicy portobellos it was an explosion of flavours in my mouth. The marsh potatoes was soft and a little chunky, an indicator that it was hand made. The top was also roasted to a crisp for a crunchy finish. All in all it was a good experience and i will go by again. continue reading

Was in cityhall area and decided to check out Applebee's as I've heard it was quite good from my other friends. As it was a Wednesday night, the area is relatively empty and the ambience there was really good. As it is located in the city, I was expecting the food to be above 20 dollars, but most of the mains there were actually below 20 dollars! That's a plus point for visiting this resturant. We ordered the sampler appetisers and the portion was well balanced! I especially liked the Chicken Wanton Tacos as it was a perfect blend between Asian and Western tastes. The Spinach and Artichoke Dip (which was served together with chips) was extremely delicious as well. For mains, I had the Bourbon Black and Blue Burger. Will recommend this for blue cheese lovers as this is one of the strongest blue cheese flavour that I had tried before! It was really amazing! The burger was paired with thick fries at the side that were just nicely salted and extremely crispy! At 16.90, it is extremely worth the cost as the portion of the food was really quite big. Will be back in the future to try the other items on the menu! continue reading

My friend and I came on a Friday night. I ordered Applebeetini. It has a pleasant sweet first taste, but after that it just tastes like children's jelly. The appetizers are great! Spinach & artichoke dip is perfect. It's so cheesy!! My friend and we were fighting over this appetizer! Chicken quesadilla tastes like cheese prata, but hey, it's good. Worth the money.Mozarella sticks are a little bit salty but u guess it's due to the flavored crust. The cheese is actually those springy(can pull kind)... It's not the melting cheese we'd expected. For mains, we ordered the shrimp and Parmesan sirloin. Mash potato isn't smooth enough but it's definitely made by themselves. The medium steak is chewy and tangy. Prawns are succulent. Overall, with the attentive waitresses at work, I think eating at this place is totally worth the price. They have all day happy hour. continue reading
