In welcoming the New Year, Singaporeans have this unique tradition where they write their dreams and hopes for the future on white balloons. These are then placed floating on the iconic Singapore River at the iconic Marina Bay.

In the few remaining hours leading to 2012, you can head down to Marina Bay with your loved ones and take part in the Singapore Countdown 2012—a Celebration of Collective Dreams. As one nation, you can welcome the New Year with a lot of festivities and merry-making. Be entertained with good music from your favourite celebs as you wait for the finale—the grand fireworks display when the clock strikes 12am.

Wet and Wild New Year at Siloso Beach

For those who like to have fun, you can welcome the New Year partying till the sun goes up at Siloso Beach Resort at Sentosa. As the largest beach countdown event in Asia, they have prepared 5 zones where party people can party all night long. Wherever you are, you can be sure that the fun never stops. Expect it to be a wet and wild bash made more exciting with non-stop music and that giant foam pool where everyone is welcome to dive into!

Twice the Fun at Marina Bay Sands
The iconic Marina Bay Sands gives you the opportunity to celebrate the coming New Year with no less than the best view of the city skyline and the fireworks display. On their roof deck, which looks like that big ship at Marina Bay, will hold two parties where everyone is welcome to join.

At the Skypark Observation Deck, which is 57 storeys high, you can join their countdown to 2012 with party favours and a glass of complimentary champagne. For those who want to grab the best view on top, you can do so by reserving a table. For $768, 6 seats will be reserved for you. Also included is a 1.5L premium champagne or Grey Goose Vodka.

Another option is Fuse, which will also hold a lounge party to celebrate 2012. This is a chill place to be in as you will be serenaded by a top jazz quartet. You can join the party or book your private room for $5,000.
