Fat Cow has an open kitchen so you can see how your dishes are prepared.
As soon as you step inside the restaurant, you will feel like you’re in a hotel because of the staff who are ready to serve you. But first, they let you take your seat and ask you what you want for your drinks. You can choose a drink from their vintage wine list and signature cocktail selection. Checking on each customer is their resident wine sommelier. He’s there to help you choose the drink which will suit the dishes you order.
For more choices, they also have more cocktails at their bar, which is only a couple of steps away from the restaurant. On this side is their very own mixologist who prepares their signature drinks such as the Hot Buttered Ume ($25++) served with rose butter cube, Kyoho Flip ($25++), Midnight Sencha ($25++), etc. If you want something different, you can opt for their dealer’s choice. This drink is customised by the mixologist himself based on your preferred flavours.

The Zucchini Blossom
Take it easy on the alcoholic drinks, though, for these are best paired with their dishes. Start with something light and order any one of their appetisers such as the Heart of Palm Salad, Tai Carpaccio, Abalone and Kyuri, or the Zucchini Blossom. All are good as these dishes are a good start to meal, but the stand out was the Zucchini Blossom. It’s slightly crispy on the outside, but airy and soft on the inside. Dip it with honey for a more enjoyable experience.

The Charcoal Grilled Blackmore, 25og
As for your main course, you cannot leave Fat Cow without trying out their Steaks! Since their restaurant is an open kitchen, their chefs will personally ask you your choice of beef (A3, A5, MS 8+) flown from Australia, cut, and the weight. The chef recommends that you have it medium rare, so in this case, the meat retains its tenderness and juiciness inside and out. As for the taste, it’s just so good that you have to try it for yourself. To complement its flavour, two side dishes are served with it.

The Kabocha soup and the Warabi Mochi
You cannot really and your meal at Fat Cow without having their desserts. They have quite an interesting list of dessert choices on their menu. But the two that you have to try are the Kabocha Soup and the Warabi Mochi. The first one is warm and is very comforting to eat, while the mochi is best savoured with the green tea powder.
Ordering these dishes will most likely cost you over $100. But, if you think about the good food and the dining experience you will have, it will be money well spent. After all, you deserve to splurge once in a while, right?
